21st International exhibition Safari Expo. Autumn
October 27-30, 2016
The 21st International exhibition Safari Expo was held in Crocus Expo IEC and thus traditionally opened the next autumn-winter season.
Safari Expo trade fair twice a year opens spring-summer and autumn-winter seasons for hunters, fishermen and outdoor enthusiasts. The organizers of the exhibition aim to bring together on the same platform all key national and foreign players and to offer an excellent platform to encourage networking among specialists and fans, to present the company and products in the Russian market, personally meet a wide audience of specialists, study market conditions, establish strong business relationship and just purchase various novelties for the season.
Safari Expo not only promotes public awareness of hunting and fishery, but also makes a powerful contribution to the development of hunting and fishing branches, to the improvement of gaming culture, preservation of wild nature and traditions for future generations.
More than 250 companies from Russia and foreign countries displayed their popular goods and novelties of the season on the exposition which space comprised more than 7 000 sq m. The exposition presented a full range of proposals from national and foreign producers of goods and services in the field of hunting, gaming and fishing equipment, special equipment, technical means and vehicles used in hunting, gaming and fishing, outdoor activities and tourism, thermo clothing, clothing from natural fur and wool, exclusive t-shirts and camouflage, convenient backpacks and bags, specialized optics, products from skin; fishing nets, coils, sinkers, floats; rods, spinnings, float tackles; literature on fishing and hunting; irreplaceable accessories; all types of bait; tents and mobile furniture for camping; taxidermy; products from bronze, silver, wood and ceramics; knives of all calibers and other cold weapon; environmentally friendly cosmetics and healthy products from different countries of the world; rubber and aluminum boats, sailing vessels and floating pontoons; powerful all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles and a lot of other things.
The Gala opening ceremony of the trade fair took place October 27 at 12:00 p.m. It was presented by Serguei Egorychev, Director of the Department of Special Exhibition Projects Crocus Expo IEC.
Participants of the ceremony:
- Viacheslav Kiriakulov, First Deputy President of Rosokhotrybolovsoyuz Association;
- Alexander Trukhachev, President of the Center of assistance to development of deep water fishing and hunting, Russian champion on blue marlin fishing;
- Valery Kuzenkov, TV host of thematic programs devoted to hunting;
- Leonid Sonin, Chairman of Safari Moscow Hunting Club;
- Serguei Aprelov, producer, presenter of the program My Fishing at Russia 2 TV Channel;
- Elena Gorbunova, President of Women’s Hunting Club.
The speakers noted that the exhibition traditionally opens the forthcoming autumn and winter season for hunters, fishers and fans of outdoor activities, thanked organizers for the next possibility of meetings and business communication with colleagues on the professional platform, and also congratulated participants and guests on the opening of the anniversary exhibition.
The trade fair has developed to incorporate more than just an exhibition. Those special events served to attract leading exhibitors and visitors and allowed all participants the chance to broaden their knowledge and of course their sales potential. Various seminars, conferences, round table talks on topical issues of fishing and hunting complexes of Russia prospects of development, protection of water resources and environment protection, measures aiming to increase wildlife population, rules and regulations related to hunter ticket receipt and other relevant issues have been scheduled for the calendar of events to be held within the frames of the trade fair.
Performances of dogs, our main friends and assistants in hunting, became the highlight of the exhibition. A complex of sports and show events had been initiated and organized by Women's Hunting Club and Their Friends. The organizers had prepared a highly topical and interesting program.
Consultations of leading experts on hunting and fishing tourism and presentations with participation of state structures, public organizations and commercial structures representatives were held within the frames of the calendar of events.
Nikolay Valuyev, Deputy of the State Duma, visited October 28 Safari Expo in Crocus Expo IEC and made a tour at the exposition. Gamekeeper and forester Kuzmich (performed by Victor Bychkov) from one of the most popular Peculiarities of the National Hunt movie, the first and most notable "Russian national comedy" also visited the trade fair. Kuzmich entertained the guests of Safari Expo by songs, theme quizzes and autograph and photo sessions. He also presented self-sharpening scissors and a multi-purpose fish scaler from Kuzmich, a Kuzmich knife and a Kuzmich axe.
The 4th tournament on knife throwing without spinning in memoriam of Igor Skrylev took place October 29 within the frames of Safari Expo. No-spin throwing refers to any technique in which the knife does not rotate end-over-end during its trajectory. The knife is always gripped by the handle. Despite the name, some rotation is common – typically 10° to 100°. Organizers of the tournament express their gratitude to all participants of the event and congratulate the winners and awardees!
Master classes for rendering first medical aid were held October 27 and 28 within the frames of the exhibition attracted many guests of Crocus Expo. First Medical Aid master classes providing training programs were backed by the industry’s best technical support, customer service, and instructional resources. The emergency care programs and support make it easy to teach lifesaving skills and build the confidence it takes to respond in an emergency.
A crossword puzzle contest on hunting and fishing topic was held within the frames of Safari Expo 2016 edition! The winners were granted diplomas and unforgettable gifts and prizes!
Safari Expo once again confirmed its importance and relevance among professionals of hunting and fishing branches and fans of outdoor activities. This time more than 17 000 visitors came to the show to Crocus Expo.
The project dynamically develops and next time will by all means please its loyal admirers with season novelties, interesting meetings, useful events and unusual master classes.
The 22nd International exhibition Safari Expo will take place March 9 through 12, 2017.
