The 7th International specialized exhibition and forum
ROADEXPO
The International specialized exhibition and forum, a representative event devoted to the development of road infrastructure of Russia, was held in Crocus Expo IEC October 11 through 13, 2016. ROADEXPO is one of the largest specialized exhibitions in Russia, highly appreciated and rated among not only road branch professionals but among also professionals of allied industries – transport and construction industries because the project covers all aspects of road infrastructure development. The project is annually supported by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and the Federal Road Agency.
The official opening ceremony of the ROADEXPO exhibition and forum took place October 11. Participants of the ceremony:
- Maxim SOKOLOV, Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation;
- Roman STAROVOYT, Head of Federal Road Agency;
- Evgeny MOSKVICHEV, Chairman of the State Duma Committee of Federal Assembly of Russia for Transport and Road Economy;
- Sergey KELBAKH, Chairman of the Board of Russian Highways State-owned company.
After the official ceremony Maxim Sokolov, Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, made tour at the exposition and visited stands of road-building organizations, entities of the transport complex, and also entities involved into key transport projects implementation in our country.
The exhibition demonstrated full range of products and services for roads construction and maintenance: designing and construction, materials for construction and maintenance, equipment for paving production, bridges and tunnels, road-building and municipal machinery, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), leasing, paving quality control, traffic safety and road service. The ROADEXPO exhibition and forum is an effective communication platform for representatives of state authorities responsible for the development of road infrastructure and specialists offering services and materials for road construction and maintenance.
About 200 companies from 33 regions of Russia and 6 foreign countries (China, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Netherlands) participated in the 2016 edition of the exhibition. Moreover, more than 50 new exhibitors joined the project this year, representation of products of the petrochemical complex and offer of materials and equipment in Traffic Safety section were expanded.
ROADEXPO exhibition has developed to incorporate more than just an exhibition. It’s special events (round tables, plenary meetings, meetings of working group and etc.) serve to attract leading exhibitors and visitors and allows all participants the chance to broaden their knowledge and of course their sales potential.
In 2016 more than 5 000 specialists – road builders, representatives of governmental and private organizations responsible for the maintenance of the road network – attended events of various formats within the frames of the business program within the frames of the business program, which is 7.4% more than last year.

A plenary session Project Management in Road Economy was held October 11 within the frames of the business program of the exhibition and forum. Evgeny Dietrich, First Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation; Valentin Letunovsky, Deputy Chief of the Control Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation, Roman Starovoyt, Head of Federal Road Agency; Sergey Kelbakh, Chairman of the Board of Russian Highways State-owned company; Alina Grossman, Head of Design Office of Sberbank of Russia PJSC, participated in the event.
The ROADEXPO 2016 exhibition and forum confirmed once again the high status of the main event of the year for professionals of road and relative industries, reflected development of road infrastructure of the country, drew up the development plan for the road industry for the next year, promoted various solutions of existing problems, became the platform for communication of all players of the industry: designers and builders, decision makers and end users of transport services.
The ROADEXPO 2016 exhibition and forum traditionally promoted acquisition of new knowledge and business contacts by specialists, experience exchange, conclusion of contracts on mutually advantageous conditions.
Representatives from more than 40 mass media entities including federal and specialized editions provided press coverage of the event.
The next ROADEXPO exhibition and forum will be held October 10 through 13, 2017.
