18th MOSCOW INTERNATIONAL OPTICAL FAIR (MIOF)

The 18th Moscow International Optical Fair (MIOF), the leading B2B project of the branch and the main business platform for the specialists of Russian and foreign companies, will be held February 16 through 19, 2016 in the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre. The trade fair provides the perfect platform from which to preview new products, evaluate market trends, and establish long-lasting and commercially profitable partnerships. Despite the dynamic changes taking place in Russia and the rapid growth of the sector, the show continues to complement and reflect the industry’s demand and is a promotional opportunity not to be missed.

106 companies among which such famous players of the optical market as Marcolin-Rus, Luxottica, Seiko, Optic Dias, Inveco, Avvita, Kering group and Hoya will participate in the project. The products and achievements will be displayed by representatives of 12 regions of Russia (Moscow and the Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Sevastopol, the Republics of Bashkortostan, Crimea, Mari El; the Vladimir, Volgograd, Vologda, Kaluga, Novosibirsk, Rostov, Sverdlovsk and Yaroslavl regions) and 4 foreign countries – Belarus, Italy, China and Japan.

The MIOF project develops dynamically, each time new participants join the exposition. NPP LINKO and Aleroptic company, the official distributor of the Israeli optical laboratory of high technologies Versano optical industry (Sagam group), representing a line of prescription and progressive lenses of Versano in the Russian market will become one of the debutants of the February edition. MIOF organizers traditionally prepare a highly topical business program during which experts will have an opportunity to discover sale increase technologies, explore the latest innovations in production of eyeglass and contact lenses, to gain new knowledge of sight correction. Besides, within the business program the results of 2015 in an optical retail will be summed up and new world tendencies in behavior of target audiences are called.

A variety of professional forums, contests and workshops will become another centre of attraction for key audience and an interesting source of publications in specialized and business press. A tight program of exhibition-related events enables to obtain comprehensive information on how to organize efficient and profitable business in line with all the requirements of the modern economy. The Awarding Ceremony of the Russian National Award in the optical industry Golden Lorgnette winners for achievements in the field of new technologies promotion, sight protection and professional service of the population will take place February 16, 2016.

Official Opening Ceremony of the 18th Moscow International Optical Fair will take place February 16 at 12:00 p.m. in hall 15 of the Crocus Expo Pavilion 3.
