3rd International specialized exhibition-forum ROAD

The 3rd International specialized exhibition-forum Road, the main event of the year devoted to the Russian road infrastructure development, will be held October 15 through 18, 2012 in Crocus Expo IEC.

The organizers of the exhibition aim to bring together on the same platform all key national and worldwide players and to offer an excellent platform to encourage networking among scientists and engineers in order to accelerate the development and research in this field as well as implementing new technologies, the newest equipment, materials and components in the road industry.

The exhibition will run under support of the Ministry for Transport of the Russian Federation, the Federal Road Agency of the Ministry for Transport of the Russian Federation (RosAvtoDor), State Transport Leasing Company (OAO GTLK), the Russian Association of Design and Exploratory Organizations (RODOS) and the Moscow Automobile and Road Construction Institute (MADI).

This year the exposition covering 12 500 sq m will unite 180 leading representatives of the branch from 32 regions of Russia and 12 foreign countries (Belarus, Germany, Greece, Denmark, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine, Finland, France and the Czech Republic).

Road 2012 will comprise an exhibition of innovation projects and technologies presented by the leading companies in this sector, a special platform for the equipment demonstration, and a business program for discussion of such issues as improvement of road safety and traffic comfort, the companies’ technologies and solutions aimed at efficient use of resources.

The exhibition will be segmented according to thematic sections.

• Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS)
• Bridges and tunnels (design, construction and operation)
• Innovations
• Traffic safety (service area at roadside)
• Road building machinery. Leasing

Road exhibition has developed to incorporate more than just an exhibition. These special events serve to attract leading exhibitors and visitors and allows all participants the chance to broaden their knowledge and of course their sales potential.

The dense and topical business program will feature conferences, profile seminars, round tables and plenary sessions. The events will cover the most demanding and strategically important issues related to the Russian road system. Experts will have an opportunity to exchange experience of innovations introduction, consider specific proposals on increase of traffic safety and quality of provided highways, to discuss in details technical aspects of construction and maintenance of motorways.

There will be closed events devoted to the 20th anniversary of the International Road Union, the 3rd Convention of Road Builders of the CIS countries and Gala Concert devoted to the Road Builders Day.

A dense program has been organized for mass media representatives.

Gala Opening Ceremony of the exhibition-forum Road 2012 will take place October 15 at 11:00 a.m. in Hall 4 the first pavilion of the fairgrounds.

Press conference for mass media will be held in Conference hall 2 at 01:00 p.m. The journalists will have an opportunity to ask the organizers of the project and high-ranking guests any questions.

A press briefing of the Head of the Federal Road Agency Anatoly Chabunin will take place October 16 at 12:30 p.m. The briefing will be devoted to the results of Rosavtodor public council meeting. The head of Rosavtodora will share his opinion on the raised issues and will answer questions.

A press briefing of the Deputy Head of the Federal Road Agency Innokenty Alafinov on the results of the round table Road Funds in the Russian Federation. Effective Mechanisms of Road Economy Development will be held October 17 at 01:30 p.m.
