The results of the International exhibition for contact manufacturing and private label market SobMaExpo
The 11th International exhibition for contact manufacturing and private label market SobMaExpo, a key meeting point for retailers, brand owners and contract manufacturers from all over Russia and other countries, was held April 9 and 10 at Crocus Expo.
165 companies from Russia and 52 foreign manufacturers from Belarus, Turkey, China and Serbia participated in the event. The exposition increased by 30% compared to last year and became the largest in the history of the exhibition’s holding. More than 4,500 private label specialists, brand holders and category managers learnt a lot about the products, concluded new contracts, expanded their range of products, gained new knowledge and experience.
Manufacturers of various categories of food and nonfood products presented their products at a program of bilateral negotiations in Retail Connect platform. They received offers from many Russian and foreign manufacturers in advance and were able to create their own schedule of meetings based on categorical needs.
The online appointment setting software made it possible to avoid wasting time in organizing business meetings and allowed to focus on products and discussing the terms of cooperation. More than 600 negotiations were held by the Russian and international chains. The largest retail chains that participated in this year's negotiations were X5 (Pyaterochka), AUCHAN, MAXI, pharmacy chain April, Magnit, 36.6 pharmacy chain and Gorzdrav, Evroopt (Belarus), pharmacy chain Rigla, Vita pharmacy chain, pharmacy chain IRIS, Pobeda, Metro Cash&Carry, Yandex.Market, Drogery Souz, Erkapharm, FZS and others.
With the growing demand, retail chains are planning that the share of private label brands will reach 20% of the assortment by 2025.
For international companies SobMaExpo became a great opportunity to find new clients and partners and become a manufacturing platform for growing market. SobMaExpo had already became the birthplace of thousands of brands and strategic destination for many international entrepreneurs. It showed great potential for the future growth of the contract manufacturing market.
An exclusive Novelty Lab gallery was organized at the exhibition. The attendees could get acquainted with the novelties of the participating companies - cosmetics, dietary supplements, household and animal goods, packaging, household and industrial chemicals, snacks.
A large-scale exposition of own trademarks of federal and regional retail chains could be appreciated at the Private Label Gallery.
The Conference on Contract Manufacturing and Private Label became the most anticipated meeting of professionals. The experts discussed forecasts and trends in the development of the contract manufacturing market, considered available niches, analysed cases and strategies for creating and developing private label, talked about successes and failures, and also assessed in detail the implementation of AI in the development, promotion and launch of private label.
The next edition of SobMaExpo will be held April 15 and 16, 2025. Market leaders will again gather to exchange experience in solving business issues in rapidly changing conditions, present their latest developments and innovations in contract production and find reliable partners.
