ANNOUNCEMENT

30TH MOSCOW INTERNATIONAL OPTICAL FAIR (MIOF)

The 30th International Optical Fair (MIOF), the meeting place of the leading distributors of global brands of medical optics and ophthalmology with representatives of wholesale and retail trade, will be accommodated in Crocus Expo February 22 through 24, 2022. Twice a year, more than 3,000 specialists in the field of medical optics and ophthalmology gather on the same platform. The organizer of the project is Crocus Expo, the expo venue which ranks at the top among exhibition centers of Russia and Eastern Europe.

Participation in MIOF is an opportunity to get acquainted with trends and innovations in the industry in just three days, compare market offers and make a balanced decision on procurement for the upcoming season - about 75% of visitors hold this opinion. At the same time, over 85,7% of visitors noted that they were able to conclude new contracts within the framework of MIOF edition.

EXHIBITORS

The exposition of the spring edition of the trade fair will be formed by well-known companies from Russia, the Republic of Belarus, Canada and China including: Rodenstock Rus, Balero-MC, Inveco, TFN, New Optica, Aelita Optics, New Line, Bi Vision, Stepper Optika and others.

Exhibitors will present to visitors their novelties in all areas of the industry: glasses, lenses, professional equipment, software for optical salons and much more.

GOLDEN LORGNETTE

VIII Gala ceremony for the winners of the National Award in the optical industry Golden Lorgnette will be held February 22, 2022. The contest aims to consolidate and develop the national market of optical goods and services, to reveal and support leaders of the optical market of the country, to increase the level of awareness and to form favorable approach of end users to ophthalmology and optics, and, in general, to stimulate the development of business activity of national entrepreneurship. Organizers of the contest are MIOF Management Office and Marketing Assistant Group. Russian companies, joint ventures and representative offices of companies from abroad, registered and conducting main activities in Russia and operating in the market of optical goods and services, as well as participating in the MIOF trade fair, are nominated for the Award. 68 applications for participation in the contest have been submitted this year.

BUSINESS PROGRAM

The Educational and Business Forum will form again an integral part of the MIOF exposition. The program features events of various formats: seminars, training courses, presentations and etc. Effective practices of increase in sales, optimization of work and increase in profitability of optician’ salons, methods of identification of customer needs in new eyewear products and the latest methods of patient’s examination will be presented to the audience.

  • Hoya Lens Rus will hold a seminar. U.V. Diadina, ophthalmologist, PhD in medicine, director of educational programs Hoya Lens Rus, will speak on the topic of myopia controlling method with Hoya MiYOSMART spectacle lenses and Parfionova N.P., ophthalmologist, PhD in medicine, Director of Clinic of Visual Health, will talk on the topic Practical Experience of Controlling Method with Hoya MiYOSMART Spectacle Lenses Application.
  • O.V. Shcherbakova, founder of the Oliver Wood brand, head of the Visio salon network, will talk about five key steps when opening a new optics salon.
  • ITIgris representatives will share their innovations in optician’s management.

February 23, 2022

  • Yakutina E.N., coach of the Strateg business school, will speak on the topic Opening an Optics Store: analyzing merchandising for Kepler Optic in the Khorosho and Vykhodnoi shopping centers.
  • Ivanova N.V., Head of the ODE Plant of Prescription Optics professional support department, and Dementyev S.V., Business Development Manager of the ODE Plant of Prescription Optics, will talk about individual monofocal lenses and how to turn them into a driver of optic business growth.

Besides there will be lectures by representatives of MOK, Grand Vision and Novalex companies.
