INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION OF CREATIVITY AND HOBBIES

MOSCOW HOBBY EXPO

Crocus Expo hosted November 19 to 21, 2021 the International exhibition of creativity and hobbies Moscow Hobby Expo, the only project in Russia dedicated to all areas of leisure. In the course of 3 day one had an opportunity to prominently present products, find new clients and partners, obtain market information, monitor competitive activity and gain first-hand knowledge of the conditions of the industry of handicraft, hobby and creativity.

EXHIBITORS

The project provided the perfect platform of more than 10 000 sq m for meeting and sharing experience among like-minded people, creative personalities, collectors, modeling enthusiasts, fans of technical skills and "smart" portable devices, fans of ultra-modern gadgets, as well as lovers of an active lifestyle and fishing who are always in search of something new.

Companies exhibitors from all over Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Izhevsk, Kazan, Kaluga, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Saratov, Sevastopol, Tula, Chelyabinsk, Yaroslavl and others) displayed the most popular products of the modern hobby industry.

Large key players of the market were among the exhibitors: Hobby Center, Fonduchok's Boutique, Lab Model, Hobby Ostrov, Attic of the Collector, Neocraft, the Federation of Tank Model Sports, the Federation of Automodel Sport of Moscow ROO, Volnyie Mastera, Mirabel Studio and others.

The following was showcased at the exposition:

• Everything for stand modeling - radio-controlled models for assembly and spare parts (Hobby Ostrov, Lab Model), vessels model kits, accessories and extra parts (Falconet, Technell), weapons and vehicles model kits made of wood (T.A.R.G.), photoetching (Microdesign TPO), chemistry for modeling, plastic stencils for camouflage (KAVmodels).
• Embroidery kits - author's patterns and finished embroidered pictures (Neocraft, Fonduchok's Boutique).
• The collection of male accessories of instrumental images ARLI, listed in the Book of Achievements and Records of Russia.
• Designer jewelry made of natural gems, bronze, silver, beads and fittings, in the technique of galvanoplastics (companies Valeri_and_co, Girl of the Woods, Silver World, Volnyie Masters, U TANI).
• Kitchen utensils and home decor (PaLka project).
• Wide range of thermo-adhesive applications made from hand-painted fabrics and kits for patchwork from Happy Fabric and TkaniMarket shop.
• Original products made of jeans Jeans Fantasy for fans of original ideas (master Angelika Dymova).
• Amazing dolls, stunning soap bouquets, work from epoxy resin, chess from real amber (a young online platform for handicraft masters Ukhty! Bazar, Milyie Melochi).
• Handmade chocolate from Raccoon's studio.
• And much more.

Fans of active outing and fishermen, both professionals and amateurs, had an opportunity to purchase everything necessary for winter fishing and not only at Fishing section. A wide range of fishing equipment, spinning rods, stock, fishing gear (fishing rods, fishing lines, devons, lures, reels, tackles) and handmade lures were displayed there. Companies from Voronezh, Izhevsk, Moscow and St. Petersburg including Piranya and Uspeshnaya Rybalka showcased their new products.

PROGRAM

Moscow Hobby Expo is unimaginable without entertainment and informative events. Visitors had an opportunity to watch: copter flights; trucks and all-terrain vehicles overcoming various obstacles; radio-controlled cars competing with each other in speed and maneuverability. And most importantly - anyone willing could take part in various activities: master a new style of painting; improve skills of sculpting; learn how to manage technical devices.

MODELISM

The Federation of Tank Model Sports held scenic battles with the latest auxiliary e-gaming tools and RC tank pilot competitions. Everybody having RC of scale 1:16 had an opportunity to attend practicum Basic Level of RC Tank Model Operation and master class Use of Small Machine Tool in Tank Modeling, interactive tank battles on the area of more than 250 sq m.

The Federation of Automodel Sport of Moscow ROO held Grand Prix Russia-2021 in classes of electric ATVs and highway-ring car models with electric drive.

Patriot club of historical and technical stand modeling organized demonstrations and master classes for children and teenagers on stand modeling. Yuri Rozhdestvin, chief designer of the Malenkiy Samoliotik KB, held master classes on folding paper and expanded polypropylene aircraft for children aged 3 to 12 years.

HISTORICAL PLATFORM

The Historical Platform presented the reconstruction of the Viking era and Ancient Russia organized by Silver Wolf Guard. There was a field camp of the Russian force made in the exhibition hall. Visitors could explore copies of armor and household items that had been used a thousand years ago, walk through craftsmen market rows and hold a copy of the real Viking sword or Russian saber in their hands, watch one-on-one combat tournament and fives fights on the bridge and squad competitions.

SHOWS AREA

A large fashion show of designers and handicraftsmen Hobby Expo Fashion Day was held for the visitors of Moscow Hobby Expo November 20, 2021. The show was organized by the Podium Moscow Fashion Theater and its artistic director, image maker and stylist Evgenia Lisitsyna. The program featured shows of designer clothes and accessories collections made in various techniques (patchwork, wallowing, knitting, sewing), as well as shows from masters working with single images and products.

MASTER CLASSES ZONE

Master Elena Komissarova held master classes on decoupage New Year's jewelry, children's bracelets and decorative boards using acrylic paints, stains and patterns. Master Lyubov Mosolova also held master classes on working with memory wire and beading wire.

Mastermama group of skilled mothers with many children invited to master classes on various techniques of decorative creativity. Children learnt to make a toy with their own hands without using needles, make their own author's key trinket with bobbles made from beads, accessories and yarn and got acquainted with the Slavic technique of making dolls from natural materials.

A number of master classes from Alexandra Fedulina, a painter, were held in the same zone. The master classes were devoted to creating a picture in the most aerial and difficult technique – pastel, with a palette-knife and in the modern "acrylic" technique.

Pervaya Masterskaya organized master classes on the manufacture of New Year and Christmas toys and not only. Children aged four to six years got a chance to undergo vocational guidance of an engineering and technical orientation. The children were guided to work on machines (lathe, fretsaw, grinding, drilling); master skills in working with plastic, glass, plywood; learn to cut, drill, polish and work on a lathe; make their own detail or souvenir on the memory of the exhibition.

Everybody was invited to master classes on mathematics and English from Skysmart online school. There were no complicated concepts, cramming, boring homework, control works and marks in a school register during the classes - only fascinating and creative classes in English and mathematics!
