The 14th International exhibition of boats and yachts Moscow Boat Show was successfully held in Moscow March 4 through 7, 2021. The organizer of the event is Crocus Expo, the expo venue which ranks at the top among exhibition centers of Russia and Eastern Europe. It was the first to hold a national exhibition of the profile thus declaring the new yachting season to be opened.

Moscow Boat Show demonstrated again its relevance and demand among yacht business professionals and water enthusiasts - more than 14,000 people got acquainted with the exhibition.

127 companies from Russia and foreign countries namely Bulgaria, Greece, Denmark, Italy, Russia, USA, Tunisia, Turkey and France, manufacturers and distributors of motor water crafts, equipment, outfit and associated services participated in the trade show.

Top players of the market were among participants of the trade show including debutants of the year: PrestigeYachts, Nord Boat, Boatmarket, ExpertMarine, Меrcury, Botsman24, Navicom, Libhof, River, ImexusYachts, Bossforr, BaliCatamarans and many others.

BUSINESS AND INTERACTIVE PROGRAM

Structured to aid ship owners and operators optimize the performance of their fleets, Moscow Boat Show became again an important meeting place for the industry professionals which brought together representatives from all sectors. It created a forum where buyers and sellers could gather under one roof to conduct business and improve industry knowledge, to build and promote a certain image in order to facilitate future agreements.

Albert Nazarov, a naval architect and marine engineer, told at his seminar about design of small water crafts, and Ilia Bushtukhin, a naval lawyer and yachting captain, told about yachting manager functions and his role in a yacht management and handling.

Among new speakers of the business program was Panshin V.G., a representative of the Institute for Innovation in Shipbuilding and Ship Repair FGBOU VO Volga State University of Water Transport, who held a seminar on small vessels and infrastructure as part of the development of inland waterways.

A seminar was held by Mikhail Savelyev, Development Director of the Russian Yacht Center, General Manager of Russian Sailing Week Volvo, and Sports Director of Russian Business Regattas. Mikhail Savelyev organized more than 65 regattas in various parts of the world during the period from 2007 to 2019; he had sailed more than 25,000 miles. Online presentation of a free course in the theory of sailing yacht handling and navigation was presented on YouTube.

Tarpon magazine invited everyone to listen to the story of the St. Petersburg yachtsman, editor of the publication Sergey Afonin about Sailing Single-handed across the Atlantic. The expert told during the meeting about two transatlantic sailing single-handed on the Loppan yacht in 2020. The press conference was of high interest with the audience.

A dense family oriented interactive program was held during all days of the show in a specially equipped pool located directly in the exhibition hall. The Moscow Boat Show visitors traditionally enjoyed a number of entertainment events on the water this year including short water races, optimist test drives, zorb riding on the water surface, radio-controlled yacht racing and much more. Experienced trainers instructed on kayaking and canoeing within the frames of the exhibition. Visitors enjoyed watching shows on SUP boards, windsurfing training courses and much more.

Moscow Boat Show presented the aspects of the yachting segment, demonstrated modern samples of water motor equipment and the latest design developments, acquainted guests with activity of yachting schools and the calendar of sea regattas, submitted offers on sea and river cruises and also on opportunities of training in water sports. Moscow Boat Show is the event intended for a wide audience which became very popular among yachting devotees. Moscow Boat Show is a multiformat project incorporating exposition, business events, impressive show programs and educational events.

PrestigeYachts, Galeon, Aquatecnica, Bossforr, Fishleader, IAqua, Marlin, Chasovaya Manufaktura 6МХ and many others have already confirmed their participation in the next edition of the show.

Exposition of the 15th anniversary International exhibition of boats and yachts Moscow Boat Show will be accommodated in two Crocus Expo exhibition halls of Pavilion 1. The event will run March 3 through 6, 2022.
