In 2020 the exhibition season of Crocus Expo, the largest expo venue in Russia and Eastern Europe, own projects started with the 12th International festival of promotion and advertising technologies ProMediaTech, one of the largest professional events for the exhibition and event industries, retail segment, e-commerce and MICE specialists in Russia. The project was held January 28 through 29, 2020.
Professionals of the industry and representatives of the expo business and specialists of the spheres of events, MICE, e-commerce, retail, marketing and advertising attended the festival aiming to exchange experience, to review successful cases from leading experts, as well as to get the maximum of real lifehacks for promotion and optimization of sales.
The event was traditionally supported by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (TPP of the Russian Federation), the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs (RUEF), the National Congress Bureau, the National Association of Event Organizers (NAOM), the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), the National Congress Bureau (NKB) and other authoritative industry associations and unions, as well loyal partners of the project.
Vladimir Dmitriyev, the TPP of the Russian Federation Vice President, noted during the interview that work with exhibitions, fairs and congress events for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry was one of the relevant areas of activity. The Chamber regularly held meetings on exhibition and congress activities, in which participated the interested players of the market. They were satisfied with the dynamics with which the industry had been developing in the country.
ProMediaTech 2020 exposition comprised 10 000 sq m. More than 200 companies, among which were the largest representatives of various fields of expo building, event industry, Digital marketing and Promo in Russia.
The exhibitors presented long-awaited industry innovations, told about trends and opportunities to promote products and services in various sectors of the economy, demonstrated examples of successful implementation and adaptation of the latest developments and the latest digital technologies.
The number of the festival visitors exceeded 6 000 people from 30 countries: Armenia, Belarus, Great Britain, Hungary, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Morocco, Russia, USA, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Sweden, Japan and others.
CALENDAR OF EVENTS
This year ProMediaTech once again became a B2B event with a saturated and topical program including thematic conferences, closed business meetings and other business and educational events. Modern practices and tendencies in spheres of MICE, Media and Internet Promotion were presented to the targeted audience. Everybody had an opportunity to learn everything about how to effectively combine online/offline promotion and to increase sales. 52 business events and 55 hours of educational program were held within the frames of the festival.

The All-Russian festival #ProDesign.Junior, the unique launch and communication platform for promotion and professional development of young specialists, exchange of experience between fresh designers and the creative industry leaders, was for the first time held in 2020 within the frames of ProMediaTech.
The 3rd All-Russian conference of the industry of exhibition building Staffing and Standardization. Where to Find Specialists of the Industry? became the highlight of the business program. The organizers of the event were: the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Exhibition Builders Union SRO.
Panel discussions were held within conference #Pro Event & Expo, a communication platform for the expo and event industries professionals. The discussions were organized by the Exhibition Builders Union SRO, the National Association of Event Organizers and the National Congress Bureau. The attendees considered trends of the event industry, use of modern methodology as tools for sustainable development, talked about VS technologies and the issue of humanity in the Digital era, industry leadership and building effective customer relationships, and focused on key market rules.
Visitors had an opportunity to learn about popular business games in the Business Games zone #GameZone (organizer: events agency OOOOO.EVENTS). Trend and practical tools assisting in solution of business challenges, various business games intended for staff training and opportunities for games integration into one’s own customer and enterprise events were presented and tested.
Annual meetings of the members of the Exhibition Builders Union SRO was traditionally held within the frames of the project as well. Strategic goals and challenges at the exhibition industry market for the coming 2020 year and development prospects of the industry as a whole were defined at the meeting.
