The Festival of Hunters, Fishermen and Tourists trade fair with participation of the Moscow Off-road Show was for the first time successfully held November 1 through 4, 2019 in Crocus Expo. The organizer of the project is Crocus Expo – the largest expo venue of Russia and Eastern Europe.

The event became an effective communication platform allowing to obtain comprehensive information about novelties of the hunting and fishing market goods and services, travelling requisites, touristy items, modern digital equipment, professional gear and outfit, to conduct effective talks with representatives of wholesale and retail markets, to search new partners offering the most profitable terms and conditions among Russian and foreign exhibitors, to establish business contacts with future suppliers.

Exposition and participants

On the eve of the winter season, the Festival was held in an updated format: it was not only supplemented by new thematic sections – special vehicles for fishing, hunting and tourism – but was also enhanced by the best, most interesting samples of AWD vehicles from the Moscow Off-road Show exposition (UAZ, GAZ, Jeep, Toyota and etc.).

The exhibitors displayed a wide range of products and services related to hunting, fishing and outdoor clothing and accessories, hiking and backpacking, tours and charters, camping, lodges and resorts, fly and sport fishing, bait, tackle and fishing products, knives and cutlery, taxidermy.

The exposition space comprised more than 3 000 sq m and hosted more than 80 companies from Moscow and the Moscow region, St. Petersburg, the Lipetsk and Rostov regions and other regions of the Russian Federation. There were hundreds of booths lining the aisles containing the latest products for both fishing and hunting enthusiasts.  The visitors had an opportunity to learn about the newest equipment from some of the top manufacturers and reps, retail vendors, public service exhibits, thematic literature, souvenirs and the gifts of nature.

The Moscow Off-road Show exposition augmented the Festival program. The exposition presented national vehicles for active outing and motor tourism from TechnINCOM, Russian off-road equipment from 4x4 Sport, Trakol wheeled cross-country vehicles, aluminum boats for fishing and recreation on water from ALUMA Motor Boats and automobile accessories under own brand from TANY.

Calendar of events

The project had developed to incorporate more than just an exhibition. Special events served to attract leading exhibitors and visitors, as well to allowed all participants the chance to broaden their knowledge and of course their sales potential. Events of the business and entertainment programs covered relevant aspects of the branch development. Okun Trade House became the official partner for the development of the Festival of Hunters, Fishermen and Tourists. Autumn 2019 and an active participant of its business component.

The calendar of events prepared for the attendees of the show was held in a manner that should prove as engaging as it is informative: workshops on theory and practice of fishing, peculiarities and life hacks of various types of baits application, practice of effective fish playing, ways of water, upland and steppe fowls lure from leaders of the industry; consultations on hunting, fishing and outdoor equipment application; training courses on survival in the conditions of wild nature – all for beginners and experienced professionals!

The Festival of Hunters, Fishermen and Tourists became a premier venue where not only a wide professional audience had an opportunity to launch its new products/services and find new business partners but also where families could pursue their shared passion for the great outdoors in a relaxed and entertaining setting.
