The 12th International exhibition of boats and yachts Moscow Boat Show, one of the most significant events for the professionals of the yachting business and a platform for presentation of new branch developments and a meeting place for business and professional communication, will be held at the beginning of March in Crocus Expo.

Start of the new season

Moscow Boat Show will unites all representatives of the yachting business, water motor crafts enthusiasts and fans of active on water outings for already the 12th time. According to the preliminary estimation the exhibit space of the show will comprise 18 000 sq m and the number of visitors will exceed 16 000.

Many companies of the yachting industry consider participation in the Moscow Boat Show as an effective way to launch a new season of sales – exhibitors get an opportunity to favorably display their products and to obtain market information, to define perspective distribution channels and to find new clients, to hold a set of direct negotiations and to sign favorable contracts within a short period. Due to implementation of a well balanced marketing strategy and systematically developed concept of the project, the exhibition provides participants an opportunity to promote the brand image and to improve market situation.

Exhibitors

Structured to aid ship owners and operators optimize the performance of their fleets, Moscow Boat Show is an important meeting place for the industry professionals which brings together representatives from all sectors. It creates a forum where buyers and sellers can gather under one roof to conduct business and enhance industry knowledge, to build and promote a certain image in order to facilitate future agreements. In particular, the exhibition adds value in terms of technology leadership and the building of complex ship types, benefitting all stakeholders by showcasing innovative technology and advanced shipbuilding systems.

More than 150 companies from Austria, Germany, Greece, Denmark, Italy, China, Latvia, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, the USA, Tunisia, Turkey, Croatia, Sweden and South Korea will display their products and services within the frames of the Moscow Boat Show 2019. National developments will be presented by producers and distributors from 12 cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Izhevsk, Kazan, Kaluga, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Saratov, Sevastopol and Yaroslavl.

Top players of the market are participating in the project: Prestige Yachts, Smart Yachts, Ultraboats, Yamaha, Mercury, Brunswick, Mikstmarine, Rupture Pro, West Istanbul Marina, Ultra Sail Group, Super Marine, Portonovi Resort and others.

This year the companies have prepared an impressive exposition for the guests of the show. One of the highlights of the exposition will become Azimut Flybridge 55 yacht (from Ultraboats) and Galeon 500 FLY (from Smart Yachts) impressing by a combination of graceful beauty and impressive technical characteristics. Light, maneuverable boats and boats for sports and tourism including Merry Fisher 1095, Scarab 215 ID (from Prestige Yachts) and many others will be also displayed.

And everything for surfing – surfboards, SUP boards, diving suits and accessories. Companies specializing in motorsurfing – Motosurfing and GS SPORT GROUP (the exclusive distributor of the JET SURF brand in the territory of the Russian Federation) and also the official distributor of equipment intended for water sports of the leading global brand VTSport and SUP-club will display their products within the exposition.

Russian exhibitors

From year to year domestic producers enter the market of water transport more and more actively and display worthy competitive products which evidence the development of the industry in Russia. National companies release products which are not worse but sometimes even surpass foreign analogs in terms of engineering specification, speed factor and design. We can state with confidence that there is a tendency for 2019 edition – increase of Russian participating companies which are ready to show design developments in the sphere of water transport. For Berkut Marine, Salut plant of motor boats (Samara), SPEV, Grizzly Technologies, Sportsudprom, Enigma shipyard, Evolution Motors, Sever Boat, Lodka House and Aqua Motors the Moscow Boat Show became the main platform for their products presentation.

Business program

A tight program of exhibition-related events will enable to obtain comprehensive information on how to organize efficient and profitable business in line with all the requirements of modern economy. The exhibition organizers will spare no effort to make their guests’ work comfortable and successful. A variety of professional seminars, lectures, contests, meetings with representatives of authorities, professional networking and workshops will become another centre of attraction for key audience and an interesting source of publications in specialized and business press.

The Moscow Boat Show program includes lectures of professional yachtsmen, athletes, journalists and other honored experts.

One of the most attractive events will become meeting with Loïc Bonnet, founder of the world’s largest charter company Dream Yacht Charter, which has started off small, offering six yachts enterprise and now grown to the leader of the branch. Eugene Romanenko, Dream Yacht Charter Russia director, will tell about 50 inspiring sailing routes: where, when and why to go on yacht.

Day of Dialogue with Yachtsmen organized within the show will provide an opportunity for visitors to know about current issues related to yachting rules and regulations.

Alexander Deev, acting director of Russian River Register Moscow branch, will talk about classification and certification of pleasure crafts and small vessels in commercial use of the Russian River Register.

Vladimir Markin, Moscow Canal FGBU deputy director on investments and development, will tell about best practices of on-water projects, and Alexander Klimchuk, president of Houseboat.ru, will additionally speak on the topic “Houseboat is a New Type of Movable Property on Water” (the project of building on-water villages in Moscow).

Round table of the Sailing Federation of the Moscow Region will cover topics related to modern tendencies in design and building of sailing yachts and related equipment.

A presentation of the Sails of Hope social project (organizers: Russian Sports Invalid Union and All-Russian Invalid Society) will be for the first time held within the frames of the Moscow Boat Show. Problems and ways of their solution on creation in Russia of an accessible environment for people with disabilities for the classes of Amateur yachting and sailing will be discussed.

Albert Nazarov, a naval architect and marine engineer, PhD in engineering, FRINA, CEng, MSNAME, director of Albatross Marine Design, will tell about peculiarities of the design of water taxi, yacht catamarans and small passenger vessels March 9.

Events of the Moscow Boat Show business program will be also devoted to fashion and style. World leaders in production of specialized wear for sailing and active outing – Helen Ocean and Slam companies (Italy) – will present fashion shows of new trends in yachting clothes and accessories.

Moscow Boat Show presents the aspects of the yachting segment, demonstrates modern samples of water motor equipment and the latest design developments, acquaints its guests with activity of yachting schools and the calendar of sea regattas, submits offers on sea and river cruises and also on opportunities of training in water sports. It is a multiformat project incorporating exposition, business events, impressive show programs and educational events, intended for a wide audience and very popular among yachting devotees!
