13th International exhibition of automotive industry
INTERAUTO
The 13th International exhibition InterAuto, a significant event for the specialists of the automotive industry which incorporated more than 30 000 professionals, was hosted by Crocus Expo August 23 through 26, 2017.
About 400 companies from 18 countries of the world displayed their latest developments and innovative achievements in all spheres of the automotive market: automotive components, garage and service equipment, auto chemical goods, car electrics, security and anti-theft systems, auto accessories and others. There is a notable increase of the number of Russian participants among exhibitors which evidence the development of national automotive market and improvement of Russian made products competitive ability.
The visitors had an opportunity to see products and equipment from such well known companies as ABRO, AGA, Autel, Axalta Сoating Systems, Brain Storm, Chicago Pneumatic, GrunBaum, IMG, INTERPUMP GROUP SPA, JTC, KIEHL, LANTECH, NORDBERG, NOVOL, ROSSVIK, SNA Europe (RUS) LCC, Solar Gard, Stopol Group-Coagent Global, TECH-RUSSIA, TWINMAX OY / Apollo Vredestein B.V., Xenumand many others. Among newcomers are Elprom Elhovo, GOLDEN SNAIL, International Group For Modern Coatings and Washtec. A Korean producer of GNet video recorders of premium class rendering ADAS system (driver assistance system) became also one of the debutants of the 2017 edition.
This year exposition reflected the current situation in the automotive market – the segment of body repair had been gaining popularity and thus the segment was presented by the leaders of sale: Russkiye Kraski, Axalta Coating Systems, NIPPON PAINT, NOVOL, TROTON, MIPA CARTEC OSCCAR and MULTI FULLER.
The fairgrounds gave the ideal stage from which to review new items, assess market inclines, and set up durable and economically gainful organizations. In spite of the dynamic changes occurring in Russia and the quick development of the car segment, the show kept on supplementing and mirror the business' interest.
Large domestic manufacturers and distributors from 36 regions of Russia displayed numerous solutions related to car repair service. For example, thanks to the Areon company experts could get acquainted with the unique Albatros equipment intended for induction heating of ferromagnetic materials. The Albatros family also includes equipment for metalwork and body maintenance and repair of automobile and cargo transport.
Regional meetings of automotive industry suppliers were held August 23 through 25 within the frames of the business program. Current and potential suppliers had a unique opportunity to participate in individual meetings with consumers of end products and to discuss with them opportunities of deliveries organization on the open consulting area of the Center of Automotive Industry Suppliers Development. Issues on deepening of localization of assembly enterprises and their suppliers of the highest levels were discussed and the list of required components, nodes and systems, critical technologies and services in the automotive industry under the conditions of the market changes was considered during the meeting.
A series of SGS SUD seminars devoted to the latest updates of IATF 16949 standards (2016 and ISO 9001:2015) became a noticeable event of the business program. Business negotiations with end users allowed participants to discuss orders and requirements for organization of deliveries to enterprises.
Representatives of dealer enterprises and after sale services signed contracts for delivery of batches of products within the frames of cooperation with the Original Equipment Supplier auto parts OES Rus – the basic enterprise of the National Association of Automotive Components Manufacturers (NAPAC).
Education Days, the joint project of InterAuto and the Moscow Polytechnic University, played a significant role in attraction of young specialists to the industry. Representatives of leading companies (car makers and distributors) in the format of open discussions told senior schoolchildren and students from professional schools and profile higher education institutions about the history of the automotive industry, the latest developments in the mechanical engineering branch, technological innovations in the field of car and motor components for sport vehicles, "smart" LEDs, driver assistance systems, lighting systems and about many other things.
Many contracts were signed and also ways of the branch development for the next year were outlined during InterAuto 2017 exhibition. Results of the exhibition showed that interest of visitors and participants to this project increases every year, allowing to establish fruitful working ties between Russian and foreign partners. The InterAuto edition surely became a prominent event for the automotive segment and a promotional opportunity not to be missed!
