Moscow International Automobile Salon (MIAS), the leading national automotive event of the year, is held in Russia in accordance with the exhibition calendar of the Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d’Automobiles (OICA) every other year on even years. The next sixth edition of Autosalon will be held August 24 – September 4, 2016 in Crocus Expo IEC.
During all previous years, including the periods of the world economic crisis, organizational level and quality of expositions of the Moscow Autosalon were highly appreciated both by its participants – the leading global car makers, and visitors – numerous army of motorists, and also heads of the international exhibition structures which are engaged in the organization of motor shows in many countries. Constructive cooperation between the organizers of the project, representatives of automobile companies and the Automobile Manufacturers Committee of the Association of European Businesses in Russia contributed to the successful holding of the exhibitions. Today, in the conditions of a difficult economic and a complicated political situation, the interaction resulted in the presentation of an adequate exposition.
Thus despite not the best period for all participants of the national automobile market in the sphere of business development, many of them have confirmed their participation in the Moscow Motorshow, namely: AVTOVAZ, Changan, DFM, FAW, Geely, Hyundai, IKCO, LARTE Design, Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes SMART, UzAvto and Obukhov, an official dealer of Volvo Cars, will also take part in the project. Thus the leading car makers showed their respect to the thousands of Russian motor-car enthusiasts which are looking forward to their main event. The organizers are confident that visitors of the show, and not only they, will highly appreciate the efforts of the exhibitors, first of all by increase in the purchases of their cars, and the exhibitors will strengthen their positions on the market of Russia. The organizers decreased the price of entrance tickets thus attracting many visitors to the show.
Press conferences of the Moscow Autosalon exhibitors will be held August 24 within the frames of united Press and Business Days.
RTR Show of Masters, integral and essential part large scale automotive events in Crocus Expo IEC, will be held within the frames of the Moscow Autosalon. At weekends (August 27 and 28, September 3 and 4) all visitors are invited to the adrenaline RTR Show of Masters drift show. Among the participants of the show are KAMAZ MASTER team, Autorodeo LADA, LEGENDS RUSSIA SERIES and others. The outdoor area opposite from Crocus Expo Pavilion 3 will be filled with motors roaring, tires squeal and exclamations of the audience striving to cheer up professional athletes performing spectacular drifting rides on rear-wheel sports cars, stunt riding on sport motorbikes on forward and back wheels, jumps and many other things. Please be reminded that the headliner of RTR Show of Masters at the Moscow Autosalon 2016 is Kamaz Master team’s performance.
Famous top managers will arrive by tradition to the capital. They will answer journalists’ questions related to the prices of cars, the strategy of work in Russia and in the world. Information on novelties will be kept in secret till the opening of the show for the sake of keeping an intrigue. Common motorists will be attracted to the show aiming to discover and explore new cars, to compare competitors on the same platform and to plan a purchase. And also to admire impressive supercars and concepts and, as always, the most beautiful girls of the motor show.
The second Friday of MIAS, September 2, 2016, is declared the Education Day aiming to assist professional orientation of young generation. The event is supported by the Association of Russian Automakers NP and the leading higher education institutions of the country. The Educational Day of the Moscow International Automobile Salon is the major event of professional orientation for the automotive industry. Companies of the automotive market, profile educational organizations of various levels and representatives of younger generation willing to obtain good promotion in automotive business meet this day on the same platform. Participation in the event will provide an opportunity to young people to gain a reliable insight about opportunities of professional development in the automotive industry and to producers to lay the foundation of the personnel reserve for the industry. Mercedes Benz RUS, Mitsubishi Motors RUS, Hyundai Motor CIS, BMW Group Russia, Renault Russia, NAMI Russian Federation Federal State Unitary Enterprise, Kia Motors RUS and JSC AVTOVAZ supported this socially important idea.
The Official Opening Ceremony of the Moscow International Automobile Salon (MIAS) 2016 and the 12th International exhibition of automotive industry InterAuto will take place August 25 at 02:00 p.m. in the third pavilion of Crocus Expo IEC. Alfiya Kogoguina, State Duma deputy, Chairman of the Expert Council of the State Duma on the innovative development of the automotive and special equipment industry by the State Duma’s Committee on Industry of the Russian Federation; Vladimir Gutenev, State Duma deputy, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Industry; Serguei Kogoguin, Chairman Association of Russian Automakers NP, Director General KAMAZ PTC; Frank Schauff, Director General of the Association of European Businesses in Russia; and Alexander Morozov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, are invited to participate in the Official Opening Ceremony of the exhibition.
