2nd International specialized exhibition
IMPORT SUBSTITUTION

The 2nd International specialized exhibition Import Substitution will run September 13 through 15, 2016 in Crocus Expo IEC. The exhibition demonstrates scientific, technical and production capacity of domestic enterprises and regions of Russia in areas of competitive goods and services, the latest technologies, perspective developments and investment projects.

In 2015 the exhibition was supported by the Government of the Russian Federation and federal executive authorities. It demonstrated the first results of implementation of tasks set forth by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in the Message to the Federal Assembly on import substitution program support of December 4, 2014.

More than 300 companies from 35 regions of Russia and foreign countries (Slovenia, Tunis, Belorussia and others) demonstrated enterprises’ possibilities in creation of domestic capacities. Many of them alongside with new comers will display their achievements within the frames of Import Substitution 2016 exhibition which overall exhibit space will exceed 26 000 sq m.

The exposition of the exhibition presented practically all branches of economy – mechanical engineering, transport sector, medicine, construction, industry, agrarian sector, consumer goods, computer related developments, hi-tech solutions in oil and gas, fuel and energy complexes and other branches. Achievements in the sphere of resource saving, and also a section devoted to creativity of young people will be presented for the first time.

The goal of the event is assistance in production and distribution of Russian import substituting goods and services. The project provides an opportunity for expansion of business cooperation with national and foreign partners, promotion of developments and creation of new productions.

The congress program of the exhibition is targeted to become a strategic tribune of the Government of the Russian Federation in the solution of one of the most actual economic and political challenges of modern Russia. Representatives of Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Ministry for Communications of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, Academy of Sciences, federal and regional authorities, representatives of large commercial structures will participate in the congress program.

The results of the Import Substitution 2015 exhibition revealed that high-quality nationally manufactured products are capable to replace import analogs, and the project can become a reference point of Russian production development in all spheres of economic activity.

Support from the Government of the Russian Federation, the ministries of Russia, regions of Russia, leading enterprises and organizations of the country, and also foreign partners testifies to a huge contribution of the project to the development of national economy today and tomorrow.
