VII International exhibition of boats and yachts MOSCOW BOAT SHOW

The third pavilion of Crocus Expo IEC hosted again a magnificent exposition of the 7th International exhibition of yachts and boats Moscow Boat Show March 11 through 16, 2014. The largest in Russia event for the seventh time already incorporated the most impressive representatives of the yachting world, branch specialists, professional sportsmen and fans of this spectacular sport!

Moscow Boat Show provided the perfect platform from which to preview new products, evaluate market trends, and establish long-lasting and commercially profitable partnerships. Despite the dynamic changes taking place in Russia and the rapid growth of the yachting sector, the show continues to complement and reflect the industry’s demand and is a promotional opportunity not to be missed!

More than 350 companies from Germany, Greece, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Ukraine, the USA, Finland, Holland, Turkey, France, Croatia, Poland and China, and also Russian exhibitors participated in the show. The scale of the project confirmed confident positions of its positive development. The largest producers and dealers of boats and yachts, insurance and logistic companies: Nordmarin, Prestige Yachts, BUREVESTNIK Group of companies, Premium Yachts, Marine Trade, Velvette Marine, Aquadrive, Volvo East, Brig, Webasto Rus, Ingosstrakh, Rosgosstrakh and others are among the participants of the show. Such well known brands as Azimut, Sessa Marine, Beneteau, Ferretti, Contest, Jeanneau, Quicksilver, Linssen Yachts, Elegance Yachts, Sunseeker and many others were presented to the guests of the event.

The largest stands were accommodated in hall 15 located next door to Aquarium Hotel (very symbolic!). A special relaxation zone was arranged at the entrance to the hall decorated with sea pebble, cockleshells and ropes and a huge anchor settled down in the center of the zone.

Burevestnik Group, a loyal participant of Moscow Boat Show, was located in the very heart of the exposition. The company from year to year surprise visitors with novelties. This year the leading British shipyard Sunseeker showed at its stand a Russian premiere – Manhattan 55 Platinum Edition with Armani Casa interiors. American yacht producers presented 4 brands: Chris-Craft representative class boats and Capri 21, democratic Crownline cruisers with three models 185 SS, 264 CR and a Russian premiere of Crownline 294 CR, MasterCraft towers with two novelties MasterCraft X2 and X46, Malibu with Wakesetter 23 LSV and Waskesetter 20 MX. The European producers were presented by Finnish Bella brand and two Italian shipyards known for their superyachts: Overmarine Group|Mangusta and Wider. For the first time Burevestnik Group stand presented a new direction of the company – Heliport Burevestnik: a new design Robinson 66 helicopter with aerography in imitation of crocodile leather.

West Nautical company, the official distributor of the European Fairline, Mulder and Sanlorenzo yachts, and also American boats Sea Ray, was located nearby. Guests could get acquainted with the most actual models of the yachting season-2014 and use a special offer for admirers of Sea Ray sportboats. The Italian sport car Lamborghini Gallardo became a special decoration of the stand.

Nordmarin displayed at the show Princess yachts (Princess 60, Princess 52 and Princess V39).

The incorporated stand of Aquatechnica and Azimut Yachts Russia companies displayed magnificent yachts: Azimut Flybridge 54, Azimut Flybridge 45, Azimut Magellano 43HT and boats: Sessa Marine C35, Monterey 214SS, Monterey 264FSC, Monterey 295SY, Beneteau Antares 6.80, Beneteau Antares 7.80, Beneteau Antares 8.80, Beneteau Barracuda 7, Beneteau Barracuda 9.

Beneteau presented Oceanis 38 which was granted European Yacht of the Year 2014 in Dusseldorf and Beneteau Antares 32 cruiser. And Contest Yachts Holland shipyard unveiled Contest 52МС exclusive motor yacht.

Prestige Yachts company stand located at the entrance to the next hall 14 presented 14 models of boats and yachts from the leading world shipyards – Jeanneau, Four Winns, Glastron and a novelty of the season – Linssen Grand Sturdy 40.9 Russian Edition.

Jeanneau stand made March 15 a presentation of a novelty of 2013 – Jeanneau NC14 motor yacht – a leader of a popular model family New Concept. The Polish shipyard Parker Poland surprised guests with Parker 660 toothy pike graffiti. And TRIDENT Aluminium Boats shipyard presented aluminum boats.

Masts of numerous sailing vessels rose up to the ceiling of the next hall 13 this year. The organizers, having noticed a general tendency to increase in attention of visitors to these romantic vessels, promised that at the following, eighth edition of the show they are going to allocated a separate hall for sailing vessels.

The Russian Yachting Federation (VFPS), one of the largest exhibitors of the show, presented main regattas of the season and arranged a number of lectures, master classes and presentations. Test drives for young captains were organized in the pool by Regata NP.

As its popularity and success rate has grown over the last years the show has developed to incorporate more than just an exhibition. These special events serve to attract leading exhibitors and visitors and allow all participants the chance to broaden their knowledge and of course their sales potential. The business program with participation of reputable specialists of the branch was of high interest at the attendees. This year the calendar of events featured: a plenary session, Day of Yachting Design, Day of Superyachts, Day of Water Sports, debatable, game and competitive events, seminars, master classes, meetings with experts, fair of yacht vacancies and other events.

After the show experts noted a special contribution of the project to the development of yachting industry in Russia and attraction of the public to the branch, and also estimated the given opportunity to discuss topical issues and to learn about the last novelties worldwide.

Exhibits of Moscow Boat Show have already "sailed away" to new coasts of other exhibitions, but they will forever remain in our memory and on colourful pictures. After "global cruise" they will moor again at Crocus Expo IEC in March 2015!
