Guests of Crocus Expo IEC received many positive emotions visiting the 4th International exhibition Moscow Hobby Expo April 19 through 21, 2013.

The fourth year in a row this Crocus owned project succeeds in attracting the most interesting exhibitors and in introducing new companies.

Moscow Hobby Expo 2013 presented practically all sections of radio-controlled models: auto models (drift, off-road, trophy-trial, buggy, monster trucks, shosseyka, miniraces, and motto), aircrafts (trainers, big models, gliders, copies, parkflyer, flight, slowflyer, and helicopters), ships and boats (radio-controlled boats, yachts) and tanks.

Moreover Moscow Hobby Expo has developed to incorporate presentation of exclusive radio-controlled models of cross-country vehicles and will demonstrate “driving” skills on 50 square meters of absolutely off road terrain (including swamps, stones, ruts, tunnels, hills and deep pools). Almost all models of the club are handmade and hand assembled, the result of long-term effortful and masterful work. They represent exact copies of “big brothers”, and the majority of them exist only in the single copy!

Indoor Grand Prix of Russia in classes of radio-controlled electric SUVs (the largest race in the CIS countries!) was held within the frames of Moscow Hobby Expo 2013 and became the highlight of the show. More than 150 participants, including the best sportsmen from Russia, Belarus and Ukraine participated in the competition.

The visitors of the exhibition had an opportunity to appreciate great possibilities of small radio-controlled cars – Mini-Z, having tried to "drive" these swift mini-race cars on a specially designed track.

Tank Club “Moscow” creative association presented interactive tank battles in the Dioramic Interactive Modelizm Project (DIM). An open championship for tank pilots in several nominations were held within the frames of Moscow Hobby Expo 2013: trial, tank battles (Tamiya protocol and HengLong protocol). Besides the guests of the show had an opportunity to watch demonstration of tanks on RU with a new steering module from virt2real company, and also legendary PT-38 and MS-1 provided by military and historical museum ms Kubinka.

LAK company brought three-storey doll houses of a European style and three-storey houses of a St. Petersburg’s style.

The saturated business program of the Federation of Aircraft Modeling Sport of Russia allowed all willing to learn the latest news of aviamodelling sports, to take great pride in achievements of the national aviation, to talk with masters and veterans of legendary aviamodelling clubs, and just spend spare time with pleasure!

The exposition featured international cars  and aviamodelling competitions right on site in the exhibition hall, demonstration of ship models in a specially equipped pool, aircraft tests (planes, helicopters, slowflyers) on a pad, tank iBattle, meetings with authoritative collectors, master classes, seminars and special shows in various thematic sections of modelism, presentations of exhibitors, amazing tournaments and draws with valuable prizes.

The Gala Opening Ceremony of the trade fair took place in the first pavilion of the fairgrounds. Olga Larionova, Deputy Director Crocus Expo IEC, Vladimir Slyshkin, Vice-president of the Federation of Aircraft Modeling Sport of Russia, Vladimir Zhornik, Vice-chairman of the Federation of Ship Modeling Sports of Russia, Dmitry Malyshko, Senior Secretary of the Federation of Auto Modeling Sports of Russia and Andrey Kovalev, Director of the exhibition, participated in the opening ceremony.
