POST-RELEASE

2nd International construction and interior exhibition BUILDEX’ 2013:
SUCCESS OF ALL PARTICIPANTS IS OUR TOP GOAL!

International construction and interior exhibition BUILDEX’2013 took place in Moscow from April 2 to April 5. Over 400 companies from all construction and interior sectors were housed in two pavilions of Crocus Expo IEC with total area of 50,000 sq.m. After its powerful start in 2012, BUILDEX became one of the leaders of this sphere in 2013 thanks to professional ambitions of all participants of the project and the atmosphere of partnership, which is becoming the major instrument of modern business.

The exhibition united the professional community for joint promotion of products and services of domestic and foreign producers and suppliers. The grounds of the 1st and 3rd pavilion of Crocus Expo IEC displayed any and all construction materials, production equipment and an enormous range of services – from design to construction.

The major development factor for BUILDEX was a successful performance of all participants, present in a common exhibition space, on the leading business platform. The practical focus of BUILDEX’2013 is an opportunity to meet as many partners as possible, to discuss internally the tasks that need to be solved in the foreseeable future.

The Official Opening Ceremony took place on the first day of the exhibition. In his welcoming speech Mr. G.V. Elyanyushkin, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Moscow Region, wished new contacts and contracts to the exhibitors and visitors. Having highlighted importance of efforts of all participants of the exhibition, Mr. E.N. Chernenko, General Director of the Union of Manufacturers of Polymer Window Profiles, wished success to the professional community. Mr. Hans Diehl, Head of Representative Office of SIEGENIA-AUBI KG in Russia, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to gather in the fold. Mr. A.A. Stepanenko, Executive Director of VEKA RUS, emphasized the importance of exhibition for improvement of partner relationship in the field. All spokesmen unanimously assessed the exhibition processes as major branch regulators of all construction sectors.

At the exhibition press conference, the heads of professional associations, Mr. E.N. Chernenko (Union of Manufacturers of Polymer Window Profiles), Ms. O.B. Maslova (Association of Window and Door Hardware Purchasers and Manufacturers), Mr. A.A. Arzumanyan (National Association of Door Industry), spoke of the increased role of partnership and that it was the first time, when positive feedback between the representatives of construction sectors and organizers of BUILDEX’2013 was actually established. It was noted that partnership is not a single occasion of ‘exhibition – exhibition participant’ type, it is the challenge to be tackled throughout the year. One should come to an exhibition with a set of actions not merely indicating major problems of construction sector, but also defining the ways to solve them at inter-branch and state levels.

From April 2 to April 5 BUILDEX’2013 had a fussy and crowded business feel. The first estimates state that the number of exhibition visits was up to 60,000.

Both exhibitors and visitors had the opportunity to meet  designers, architects, customers of construction and finishing works, engineers and projectors, representatives of trading companies from Moscow, regions of Russia, the CIS countries and Eastern Europe.

Throughout the exhibition, the participants were presenting new products at their stands. Visitors got to learn about novelties of the market and state-of-art technologies, current business contacts were extended and maintained, new contacts were established – the construction sector was assessed within the competitive environment.

There also were many landmark events, namely strategic session on ‘Green Building’ and resource-saving technologies (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation), conference ‘Topical Issues of Window Industry’ (Union of Manufacturers of Polymer Window Profiles), the first conference ‘Light Steel Thin-Walled Structures – Innovative Energy Saving Construction Technology. Practice, Opportunities and Prospects’ (International Association of Light-Gauge Steel Construction), a series of round tables devoted to the 25th anniversary of door history in Russia (National Association of Door Industry), round table ‘Novelties in Russian DIY: Concepts, Competition, Demand’ (JosDeVris), conference ‘Russian Eco-House. New Arrangement of Urban-Planning Approaches’ (GreenStroy Association, Expert Media Holding with the assistance of RUSNANO), conference ‘Creativity and Business in the Industry of Architecture, Interior Design and Visualization’ (Design Conference, KASHUBADESIGN, International Interior and Architecture Bureau) and other master classes and presentations. Environment, efficiency and innovations are major long-term development trends of construction market. It was discussed by the exhibition participants and guests offstage and during the events.
