10th International specialized exhibition
OPHTHALMOLOGIC OPTICS

The 10th International specialized exhibition Ophthalmologic Optics, one of the most significant events for ophthalmologic segment of the market, opened its doors in Crocus Expo IEC on the eve of New Year holidays.

Ophthalmologic Optics comprises an exhibition of innovation projects and technologies presented by the leading companies in this sector, a special platform for the equipment demonstration, and a conference for discussion of such issues as economic efficiency of the companies during the crisis, the companies’ technologies and solutions aimed at efficient use of resources.

90 companies from 11 regions of Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Belgorod, Vladimir, Volgograd, Kaluga, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Rostov and Yaroslavl regions and Khabarovsk Territory) presented novelties of optical production within the anniversary trade fair. The exhibit space exceeded 7000 sq m.

All in all the showings in all aspects has grown three times since the launch of the project in December 2009.

Ophthalmologic equipment and devices were showcased at the trade fair alongside with collections of medical frames, contact lenses and lenses care means from popular trademarks.

The Gala Opening Ceremony of the 10th International specialized exhibition Ophthalmologic Optics took place December 11, 2012. Arcady Zlotnikov, Deputy Director General of ZAO CROCUS INTERNATIONAL, was traditionally the first to take the floor and to welcome the audience. He presented top officials of the branch who participated in the ceremony: Evgeny Grevtsov (New Optics), Valery Ivanidze (Interoptik), Dmitry Mityukov (Abium), Mikhail Soldatov (Optik Dias) and Anton Shipov (group of companies Frames, Top-Optika and Titan Optika).

The participants of the ceremony congratulated the audience with the anniversary of the project and the coming New Year. They expressed their gratitude to the organizers and underlined the significance of the trade fair which they named “the mirror of the Russian optical industry”.

The show Ophthalmologic Optics provided the perfect platform from which to preview new products, evaluate market trends, and establish long-lasting and commercially profitable partnerships. Despite the dynamic changes taking place in Russia and the rapid growth of the sector, the show continued to complement and reflect the industry’s demand.
