International specialized exhibition CERAMICS

A new launch of the fairgrounds’ own exhibition program, the International specialized exhibition Ceramics which was accommodated in the second pavilion of the fairgrounds, was held October 31 through November 03, 2012.

60 companies from numerous regions of the Russian Federation and foreign countries (Belarus, Germany, France and China) presented full range of machinery and equipment for mining, processing and transportation of raw materials and finished ceramic articles at the trade fair.

Ceramics was segmented in 4 principal thematic sections: building ceramics; engineering ceramics; equipment, raw materials and tools for ceramics manufacture and Decorative Ceramics salon.

Ceramics exhibition provided the perfect platform from which to preview new products, evaluate market trends and establish long-lasting and profitable partnerships. The event had been initiated and organized in response to dynamic changes taking place in Russia and the rapid growth of innovative processes and modernization in all industrial branches including building segment. One had an opportunity to receive full information scope within the frames of the exhibition on properties of wall ceramic materials, irreplaceability of a ceramic tile and ceramic granite in repair and construction works, and also to familiarize with equipment for enterprises of ceramic industry.

Leading experts of the branch invited professional community to scientific and practical conference KERAMSIB 2012, a debatable table Ceramics is Concord of Three “E”: ecological compatibility, energy efficiency and economy, a round table Modern Methods of Support of the Russian Industry of Construction Materials.

Leading manufacturers of machine tools, equipment, materials and finished articles, societies, unions, federations and associations of machine builders and manufacturers of ceramics, national crafts, educational institutions, and also publishing houses dealing with specialized literature, museums, studios of professional artists and amateur artists were among invited to participation in the project.

Numerous fans of ceramics had an opportunity to attend daily impressive ceramics and pottery master shows.

Arcady Zlotnikov, First Deputy Director Crocus Expo IEC, was traditionally the first to take the floor. He welcomed the guests of the event and wished them success and well being. High ranking participants of the ceremony:

  • Konstantin Shirshov, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Chairman of Advisory Council of the State Duma Committee on Land Affairs and Construction;
  • Albert Popov, Executive Director of the Association of Ceramic Materials Producers;
  • Anatoly Shamonin, President of the Association of Independent Sellers of Construction Ceramics;
  • Oleg Medvedko, Executive Director of NEVZ-KERAMIKS ZAO.

Konstantin Shirshov opened the ceremony up by welcoming the press to this very important occasion. He offered his opinions on the current state of the industry, commented on future prospects. The mike was then passed to Albert Popov who congratulated the organizers on behalf of the Association of Ceramic Materials Producers and pledged his word to promote Ceramics development.

Anatoly Shamonin, in his turn, joined congratulations of the previous speakers and wished the exhibitors to find new business partners, and the guests of the project to pay attention to this small, but very promising premiere which will allow to develop new directions in construction.

Oleg Medvedko,  representative of ZAO NEVZ-CERAMICS, a co-organizer of the exhibition, told briefly the prehistory of the exhibition which idea had been given rise in Novosibirsk.

Then Mr. Zlotnikov told a little about the exposition. It is the first launch of a trade fair of the profile. Ceramics is, first of all, an event for professionals which demonstrates full range of industrial ceramics  variety: from clay production and processing and up to manufacturing of products. The first Ceramics exhibition will serve as a good base for further development of the project which we plan to hold annually.

After the official part of the ceremony Konstantin Shirshov congratulated Norsk Ceramic Plant with the 35th anniversary and presented its representatives with a memorable diploma. After that the speakers together with numerous visitors proceeded to the exposition.

Ceramics launch justified hopes of the organizers and gave a powerful incentive to further development of the project!
