A record number of visitors, 15 000, visited Moscow Hobby Expo 2012!

Visitors of the trade fair Moscow Hobby Expo 2012 had an opportunity to eyewitness the swiftness of small radio-controlled Mini-Z models. One of the rounds of Club Championship Russian Cup Mini-Z – 2012 was held on specially designed track (13,6 meters). The visitors were given an opportunity to test their skills in operating Mini-Z model on the models’ rent track. About 100 professionals of auto and plane modeling sports participated in the event.

Moreover, Moscow Hobby Expo 2012 presented practically all sections of radio-controlled models: auto models (drift, off-road, trophy-trial, buggy, monster trucks, shosseyka, miniraces, motto), aircrafts (trainers, big models, gliders, copies, parkflyer, flight, slowflyer, helicopters), ships and boats (radio-controlled boats, yachts) and tanks.

A flying zone (14x24 m, 8 m height) was for the first time arranged at the Moscow Hobby Expo 2012 exhibition. The flying zone was intended for demonstration flights and tests. The zone was protected by a netting for the visitors safety.

Trial&Trophy Club presented exclusive radio-controlled models of off-road equipment and demonstrated “driving” skills on 50 square meters of absolutely off road terrain. Almost all models of the club are handmade and hand assembled, the result of long-term effortful and laborious work. They represented exact copies of "big brothers", and the majority of them exist only in the single copy!

RC motor pool presented a genuine mini-city (100 sq m) where models of tractors, trailers, loaders and construction equipment in 1:14 scale moved in the streets. And there was even enough room for a gas station, and car-care center for large-scale trucks, and a bridge with neon illumination.

A collection premium class model of a legendary Soviet steam engine "Joseph Stalin" (IS20-262) made in 1:87 scale (more than 1000 details) was presented for the first time at the Moscow Hobby Expo 2012. The limited edition of the model (65 units) could be purchased at the Russian Custom Train (RCT) company stand.

It should be noted that Moscow Hobby Expo had a serious social orientation: the exhibition promoted revival of forgotten in the modern Russia sphere of children's leisure. It is known that today many don't even guess about availability of a huge variety of hobby groups and societies which assist in intelligence development, formation of creative skills and younger generation socialization. Numerous technical and creative clubs for children and adults act as partners of the project. Due to Moscow Hobby Expo they create greater market awareness.

The next edition of Moscow Hobby Expo will be held in spring 2013. The future exposition will attract again various producers and fans of modelizm and relative goods on one platform. Besides the show will be moved to a more spacious hall that will allow to increase zones for test drives and test flights.
