Already the third edition of the International exhibition Moscow Hobby Expo will be held April 13 through 15, 2012 in the first pavilion of Crocus Expo IEC.

Moscow Hobby Expo is a project of own exhibition program of the fairgrounds which is held with official support of the Federation of Aircraft Modeling Sport of Russia, the Federation of Auto Modeling Sport of Russia and the Federation of Boat Modeling Sport of Russia.

Participants of the previous two editions proved that the branch had been actively developing in our country and the variety of presented models and accessories, and also the quantity of visitors just confirm the statement. The exhibit space of Moscow Hobby Expo 2012 increased significantly, more than 50 companies both Russian (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Khanty-Mansiysk, Arkhangelsk, Bryansk, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kaliningrad, Kirov, Leningrad, Moscow, Murmansk, Nizhny Novgorod, Oryol, Samara areas, Republics of Bashkiria and Kabardino-Balkaria), and foreign (Belarus, Germany, Italy, China, USA, Taiwan, Ukraine and Japan) are among the exhibitors. The trade fair became the perfect platform for presentation of novelties, attraction of clients, dealers and suppliers and maintenance of old contacts.

In 2011 the exposition was visited by about 10 000 persons in the course of three working days!

A young and perspective project of the own fairgrounds’ exhibition program demonstrates with its third edition fine perspectives presenting the best companies involved in the market of modeling related segments and relevant sections: railroads modeling, ship modeling, aircraft modeling, vehicles modeling, war gaming, remote control models, accessories for models and dioramas, architectural models, tools, devices and facilities, equipment, materials for modeling, literature, manuals, master classes, films, competitions of models and many other things.

Moreover, Moscow Hobby Expo 2012 will present practically all sections of radio-controlled models: automodels (drift, off-road, trophy-trial, buggy, monster trucks, shosseyka, miniraces, motto), aircrafts (trainers, big models, gliders, copies, parkflyer, flight, slowflyer, helicopters), ships and boats (radio-controlled boats, yachts) and tanks.

A number of curious events will be held within the frames of the exposition:

• Gran prix of Russia in classes of radio-controlled off-road vehicles;
• Rent of Mini-Z automodels, rent of 1:10 scale off-roaders;
• International auto and aircraft modeling competitions;
• Demonstration of electromobiles and electroskateboards;
• Demonstration of railway models of various sizes;
• Demonstration of ship and boat models in a specially equipped pool;
• Demonstration of aircrafts (aircraft models, planes, helicopters and slowflyers) inside the pavilion;
• Tank iBattles;
• Exhibitors’ presentations;
• Meetings with famous collectors and master classes;
• Seminars and special shows in various thematic sections;
• Film demonstrations;
• Competitions of models;
• Table games;
• Tournaments and draws with valuable prizes.

Trial&Trophy Club, one of the participants of Moscow Hobby Expo 2012, will present exclusive radio-controlled models of off-road equipment and will demonstrate “driving” skills on 50 square meters of absolutely off road terrain. Almost all models of the club are handmade and hand assembled, the result of long-term effortful and laborious work. They represent exact copies of "big brothers", and the majority of them exist only in the single copy!

A big flight platform for demonstration and show flights of winged models will be arranged inside the pavilion. The event is supported by the Federation of Aircraft Modeling Sport of Russia. Competitions and contests will allow enthusiasts to try flight characteristics of their products and to receive memorable prizes. The business program of the Federation will allow professionals and fans to learn the latest news of aviamodelling sports, to perceive the rich history of the national aviation industry, to have a talk with masters and veterans of legendary aviamodelling clubs within the frames of master classes.

The Gala Opening Ceremony will be held April 13, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. Arkady Zlotnikov, First Deputy Director Crocus Expo IEC, Yury Vaschuk, President of the Federation of Aircraft Modeling Sport of Russia and Evgueny Timoschenko, President of the Federation of Auto Modeling Sport of Russia, will participate in the opening ceremony.

Questions-and-answers session will be organized for journalists after the ceremony.

The show will be open for general public April 13-15 from 10:00a.m to 06:00 p.m.
