8th International specialized exhibition
OPHTHALMOLOGIC OPTICS

February 21-24, 2012

The 8th International specialized exhibition Ophthalmologic Optics, one of the most significant events for ophthalmologic segment of the market, was held in February 2012 in the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre.

The best specialists from 150 companies have gathered on the area of 12 000 sq m for demonstration of their products and services and discussion of pressing issues related to corrective eyewear and sun glasses, ophthalmologic and optometric equipment, the newest technological developments of the branch, eyewear frames, spectacle and contact lenses and other products.

The exposition incorporated manufacturers from numerous regions of Russia, including Moscow, St.-Petersburg, the Moscow, Volgograd, Novosibirsk, Rostov, Vladimir and Yekaterinburg regions, and also their foreign colleagues from France, Great Britain, Germany, Spain, Turkey and Ukraine.

Arcady Zlotnikov, First Deputy Director Crocus Expo IEC, was the first to take the floor at the official opening ceremony. He greeted warmly exhibitors, guests and visitors of the event and congratulated them with the coming Pancake festival and Motherland Defender Day.

The first persons from the leading optical companies adhered to Mr. Zlotnikov: Evgenie Grevtsov (New Optics), Valery Ivanidze (Interoptika), Dmitry Mitjukov (Abium) and Victoria Tchizhova (Sover-M).

The visitor from France, Mr. Penton, representing the French association of eyewear manufacturers Les Lunetiers du Jura, was of special attention. He expressed his recognition to the organizers who had allocated a corporate stand to French exhibitors for demonstration of their products.

The high-ranking visitors noted the positive development of the project confirming its high level, and expressed their gratitude to the organizers and exhibitors.

The business component of the trade fair was the highlight of the event. An educational forum which was attended not only by professionals of the optical business but also by beginners was held within the frames of the exhibition.

The educational program of the forum covered issues related to technology of ophthalmologic optics manufacturing and ophthalmology researches, but also economic, marketing, administrative and other issues. Skilled authoritative experts who could fruitfully discuss tasks in view and effectively approach to their realization answered to these and other questions within the frames of the business program.

Ophthalmologic Optics trade fair provided yet another platform for industry specialists to access the latest information on global and market trends in the sector.
