Post show report of the 18th International exhibition for municipal, industrial, construction, agricultural waste management and ecology WasteTech
The 18th International exhibition for municipal, industrial, construction, agricultural waste management and ecology WasteTech, a main business event that offers equipment, technologies, and services for housing sector and all the types of industries, was held September 8 through 10 at Crocus Expo.
WasteTech is an important meeting place for waste management companies, industrial companies and technology and equipment suppliers. Here, manufacturers and distributors demonstrate solutions and offer the best conditions for utilities and industrial enterprises.
More than 70 manufacturers and suppliers from Russia and China presented equipment and services at the exhibition. More than 7,200 professional visitors attended the event: processors and recyclers, regional operators, representatives of industrial enterprises, housing and communal services, authorities, design and engineering organizations from 79 regions of Russia and 12 countries.
The main topic of WasteTech was the transition from waste management as a final product to their management as a resource. Sorting, extraction of useful components, processing and return of secondary raw materials to production, as well as the formation of sustainable demand for products from recycled materials are becoming increasingly important.
The exposition demonstrated solutions for all key stages of waste management and a significant part was made up of technologies for processing plastic, rubber, wood, metals and other types of waste.
Special attention was paid to the automation of sorting. Participants presented solutions based on machine vision and artificial intelligence, optical and magnetic separators, equipment for sorting and grinding waste. The development of these technologies makes it possible to improve the quality of secondary raw materials and increase the volume of materials returned to economic circulation.
Another important focus of the exhibition was the digitalization of the industry. Participants presented systems for route and fleet management, fuel control, accounting, and reporting. Such solutions make it possible to integrate individual processes into a single digital environment and improve the traceability of waste flows — from the moment they are generated to their subsequent processing or disposal.
Broad audience of the exhibition allowed to get access to thousands of potential customers from all regions of Russia. The event provided an opportunity for professionals to exchange experience and adopt the best strategies in the industry. Visual demonstrations of products and techniques allowed participants to be the first to learn about new techniques and know-hows.
The exposition was supplemented by a business program, which included six industry events, more than 200 delegates, 120 speakers and over 40 hours of professional discussions. The WasteTech Forum, the program of practical conferences for regional operators, engineers, environmentalists and other industry professionals, will reveal all the intricacies of building an integrated waste management system, digitalization of the industry, as well as key changes in industry legislation.
Awarding ceremony for the winners of EcwaTech WasteTech Awards (EWA) for enterprises operating in the field of waste management, housing sector and ecology was held within the frames of the exhibition.
The next edition of the International exhibition for municipal, industrial, construction, agricultural waste management and ecology WasteTech will be held September 7 through 9, 2027.
