Post show report of the International trade fair for commercial vehicles and technology COMvex
The International trade fair for commercial vehicles and technology COMvex was held May 26 through 29 at Crocus Expo.
Despite the difficult situation in the market, industry leaders once again united to present new products in cargo, electric and passenger transport, LCVs, trailers and semi-trailers, various superstructures, municipal equipment, telematics and components.
The exhibitors, following the strengthening of the trend of customer focus, relied on applied solutions and "package" sales with an in-depth study of individual operating experience. The exposition was updated thematically: in addition to traditional large-sized models, passenger transport and trailers, enough number of equipment was presented for the rapidly developing services of marketplaces, HoReCa and Retail segments.
The most important is that both exhibitors and visitors noted the general positive mood that reigned at the exhibition, which may indicate a slow and gradual revival of interest in the commercial vehicle market in Russia.
502 exhibitors from 5 countries presented the latest innovations in freight and passenger transport, trailers and municipal machinery, various types of superstructures, as well as options for customer support and switching to alternative fuels. This year, the organizing team focused on actively attracting the target audience. More than 30% of COMvex visitors came to the exhibition to find new suppliers for business, 6 973 people indicated their intention to purchase products.
COMvex was visited by delegations from the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, prefectures of the administrative districts of Moscow, Sergey Kogogin, Director General of KAMAZ PTC, Oleg Markov, Director General of Modern Transport Technologies Group of Companies, Vadim Sorokin, Director General of GAZ Group, and many others.
The intrigue of the first day was the SHACMAN press conference with the participation of the group's top management and the leadership of the Russian representative office. The focus was on strengthening the brand in Russia, with key announcements including the introduction of a service market model (Pull), oriented toward end-customer demand through the development of after-sales service and captive financing.
A new format for this year's business program was a live podcast on stage — COMvex Dialog guest Anton Saraikin, Deputy General Director of PJSC KAMAZ for Sales and Service, will join.
May 28 was a day of management agenda together with the Safe Driving Association. The focus was on safety, economics, and digital tools for effective corporate fleet management. May 29 closed the forum with the lecture "AI and IT Technologies. The New Reality by 2030" and the discussion "The Last Mile. Why Is the Final Delivery Stage the Most Expensive?" with support from Avtopark 5Koleso magazine.
The end of the first day of the exhibition on May 26 was the solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the authoritative competition Best Commercial Vehicle of the Year in Russia 2026. The expert jury identified market leaders who have made a significant contribution to the development of the commercial vehicle industry.
The next edition of the International trade fair for commercial vehicles and technology COMvex will be held May 25 through 27, 2027.
