The International travel and hospitality show MITT 2024 post show report

The International travel and hospitality show MITT , an international platform for countries, regions and companies from Russia and the world to present their travel & hospitality products and services on the Russian market, was held March 18 through 20 at Crocus Expo.

This year's event broke another record, with more than 16 000 people visiting MIIT 2025 over the three days of the show. More than 1 000 exhibitors from 54 Russian regions and 34 countries participated in the show. Among them were national and regional pavilions, leading tour operators and travel agents, hotel chains, carriers, MICE agencies and online booking systems, caravanners and other industry participants. The exposition comprised 17 500 square meters.

Visitors to the exhibition were introduced to great opportunities for recreation and national flavor by foreign participating countries, including India, Oman, Abu Dhabi, China, Tunisia, Cuba, Nepal, Venezuela, Uganda, Malaysia, Kenya, Madagascar and many others. For the first time since 2019, Iraq joined MITT as Al Rafidain Travel & Tourism. This year, Turkey presented a particularly large-scale exposition: the National Pavilion, the pavilions of the Antalya and Mugla regions, the pavilion of the largest tourist association TURSAB, as well as the HEAL IN TÜRKIYE medical tourism pavilion, which presented the potential of Turkish clinics.

The regions of Russia demonstrated the tourist potential of our country at MITT. The republics of the North Caucasus were presented brightly, with folk music and dancing, offering guests a wide range of types of tourism - from sports and beach to ethnographic and popular science. The delegation of the Kamchatka Territory treated visitors to local dishes and presented the project Passport of a Kamchatka Territory Tourist. Representatives of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug introduced visitors to fishing and reindeer herding tours. Ivanovo region held a presentation of its small towns and famous folk crafts.

A special place in the exposition was assigned to health and medical tourism. Special attention is now riveted to these areas due to the reorientation to travel within the country and interest in anti-stress recreation. The best sanatorium and resort facilities of the Caucasian Mineral Waters, Crimea, Altai Territory and Krasnodar Territory presented their services and programs. Medical programs and tours were presented by participants from Moscow, the Leningrad region, Crimea and other regions of Russia, as well as from abroad. The largest representative of the medical tourism market HEAL IN TÜRKIYE (Turkey) introduced visitors to the most prestigious hospitals and dental clinics in the country.

More than 30 multi-format events took place: thematic sessions, conferences, presentations, discussions and training seminars. 265 leading speakers and opinion leaders of the tourism and hospitality industry made lectures and reports within the frames of the business program. The events of the program were attended by 3,800 guests of the exhibition.
