Results of the 28th International specialized exhibition and forum BIOT 24
The 28th International specialized exhibition and forum Safety and Labour Protection BIOT 2024 was held December 10 through 13 at Crocus Expo.
It is the largest event in Russia and the CIS, dedicated to the methods of preserving the resource state of employees, the creation and provision of safe working conditions, safety culture, personal and collective protective equipment, ecology and fire safety.
The event once again amazed with its scale and became a record in all major indicators: 35,000 visitors and participants, 460 participating companies from 14 countries of the world and 89 regions of Russia, more than 100 sessions, conferences, round tables within the business program, 200 expert speakers, top managers, federal and regional officials, businessmen, scientists, university teachers, etc.
The organizers were the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Ministry of Labor of Russia, the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia (FNPR) and the Association of Developers, Manufacturers and Suppliers of Personal Protective Equipment.
All relevant information on occupational health and safety and government regulation was presented and discussed within the frames of the business program.
New innovations at BIOT-2024 were themed 'salons' and 'alleys'. Footwear Alley and The Alley of work at heights and in a confined space were held at BIOT-2024. The Alleys featured materials and equipment for light industry; materials and equipment for footwear manufacturing; welding technology, equipment and protective PPE; industrial and fire safety; health in the workplace.
Various science competitions provided an opportunity for scientists and developers to present their solutions and inventions to market professionals, and for specialists to evaluate and select promising developments.
There are more and more participants and guests of BIOT every year. The organizers successfully tested the format of Expo tours at the exhibition. For 90 minutes, everyone could visit the stands on the target request, find reliable suppliers of a particular product.
Another new BIOT format is the Digital Labor Protection Olympiad. In a difficult competition, numerous participants using a digital platform were able to fully demonstrate their knowledge in the field of labor protection and evaluate their professional competencies.
Another important part of the youth program is the BIOTON intercollegiate case championship. The Case Championship was aimed at developing the professional skills of young specialists and provided students with the opportunity to prepare for solving problems as future specialists.
For the second year in a row, the All-Russian media forum Safe Work is Our Common Concern was held within the frames of BIOT. A 4-day round-the-clock live broadcast filled with teleconferences with regions, interviews and discussions on the hottest topics with experts, officials, businessmen and public figures gathered viewers from all over Russia.
