The first results of the 33rd International autumn food exhibition WorldFood Moscow

WorldFood Moscow, the largest international autumn food exhibition in Russia, the major place for meetings and sharing best practices among Russian and foreign food market leaders, was held September 17 through 20 at Crocus Expo.

Every autumn, the WorldFood Moscow exhibition becomes the main meeting point for food market specialists on the eve of the new business season. Russian and foreign food and beverage manufacturers participating in WorldFood Moscow negotiate with buyers, sign new contracts, expand the geography of their sales and find customers among exhibition visitors. 

More than 1,100 manufacturers and suppliers of food products from 28 countries: Algeria, Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Middle East, Hungary, Vietnam, Egypt, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, the Republic of Korea, Costa Rica, Malaysia, the Netherlands, UAE, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkmenistan menias, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, Ecuador, Japan participated in the event. 15 countries were represented in the format of national pavilions. Russian manufacturers were represented by companies from more than 60 regions, 29 of which formed regional collective expositions. Over 350 companies took part in the exhibition for the first time

WorldFood Moscow 2024 consisted of 16 sections covering all food and non-food categories. Everyone was able to personally evaluate the exhibitors' products, including product flavours and packaging quality. In just four days, one was able to form a comprehensive product matrix that meets the current consumer demand.

For the third time, in partnership with the Organic Fund, a collective stand of organic producers was formed at the exhibition, the exposition segment space this year increased by one and a half times. 11 companies that represented organic cheeses, dairy products, sausages and semi-finished meat products, vegetables, cereals, oatmeal, tea and much more exhibited within the frames of the stand.

Purchasing Center, where buyers and suppliers engage in personal bilateral negotiations, all in one place and at one time, was for the first time organized at the exposition. 498 buyers and suppliers participated in the Center’s work. 2,640 negotiations were held, which resulted in 2,039 preliminary contracts worth 31 344 000 000 rubles. The share of successful negotiations was 77%, and the average time for a successful deal was only 9 minutes.

WorldFood Moscow 2024 featured several content zones in addition to the main exposition. Those included the Food Business Leaders Forum, the Retail Academy, and the WorldFood KITCHEN catering platform. Leaders of the Russian retail and catering industry discussed market trends and tendencies, presented up-to-date analyses, and shared their experiences in business development. At WorldFood Moscow 2024, one embarked on a true culinary adventure around the globe at the Culinary Marathon, held at the exhibition. Top chefs from around the world prepared dishes using products from WorldFood Moscow 2024 exhibitors. Visitors experienced the opportunity to taste those amazing dishes and to assess the products showcased by the exhibitors.

Food Industry Leaders Forum focused on exchanging experiences and addressing current challenges in retail. It also featured presentations of the latest statistics and market trends by leading industry representatives. As part of the program for commercial departments of retail chains, the Retail Academy hosted practical conferences focused on category development.

The program's high quality was ensured by bringing together leaders of the Russian retail and food industry on one stage. Representatives from federal and regional retail chains, marketplaces, fast food chains, and major manufacturers were present at the exhibition.

Product Launch of the Year competition was held at WorldFood 2024. This competition aimed to showcase the most innovative and interesting food and beverage products recently launched in the market. The competition was held in collaboration with INFOLine Group.

The 34th edition of the International autumn food exhibition WorldFood Moscow will be held September 16 through 19, 2025.
