The 27th International exhibition for the packaging industry RosUpack post show report.
The 27th International exhibition for the packaging industry RosUpack, the most important packaging exhibition in Russia, showcasing modern packaging and recycling technologies, equipment, raw materials, materials and finished packaging, and the 8th international exhibition of equipment, technologies and supplies for print and advertising production PrinTech were held June 6 through 9 at Crocus Expo.
RosUpack is the only exhibition in Russia, where the packaging production process for various areas - food, processing, chemical industry, medicine and pharmaceuticals, wholesale and retail trade, warehousing, logistics, catering - is presented. RosUpack is rated Russia's best packaging and labelling exhibition by the Russian National Exhibition Rating
In 2023, RosUpack was visited by 30,474 industry specialists from 51 countries of the world and 79 regions of the Russian Federation, which is a record number during the 27 years of holding the exhibition! 14 952 specialists attended the exhibition for the first time. The exhibition visitors were managers, business owners, chief commercial officers, marketing experts and senior process men of companies operating in various business areas.
According to statistics, the majority of visitors operated in such business areas as:
- wholesale and retail trade (4,411 persons),
- food and beverage industry (4 377 persons),
- finished packaging manufacturing/supply (4 078 persons).
By results of a survey of RosUpack 2023 participants, 92% found new customers and partners at the exhibition, 76% were satisfied with the number and quality of visitors and were willing to recommend their workmates to participate in the exhibition.
746 companies from 19 countries took part in the event - 40% of them were foreigners. The exposition RosUpack and Printech 2023 comprised 35,156 square meters in five exhibition halls of the Crocus Expo exhibition center.
For the first time in 8 years, the ROSUPACK exhibition was supplemented by an outdoor exposition. On the territory of 170 m2 in front of Pavilion 1, warehouse systems and equipment were presented by Russian companies and SKAT company was the outdoor exposition partner, presenting 7 warehouse loaders.

The outdoor exposition aroused great interest among the guests of the exhibition. Everyone who was interested could get acquainted with the presented equipment and choose the needed machines for warehouses on special conditions directly from manufacturers.
Conference Russian Packaging Industry. Trends and Strategies in New Reality was held June 6. Main events of the forum: Analytical session (Influence of economic and polytical factors on the Russian packaging industry); Plenary session (Paper, cardboard and corrugated cardboard Packaging: current state, trends and development perspectives); Plenary session (Polymer packaging: state, trends and development perspectives) and Discussion session (Reform of extended producers’ responsibility).
Topical issues of anti-crisis development of pulp and paper industry - change management, forecasts and solutions were discussed at the industry conference “Plant-based polymers - new oil“. 1,777 unique visitors attended events of the business program. At the industry conference leading experts and guests discussed topical issues of anti-crisis development of the pulp and paper industry - change management, forecasts and solution.
In 2023 ITE Group established a new business community RosUpack Connect for exhibitors & visitors of RosUpack and Printech. The purpose of the project is to help exhibitors and visitors find each other and network for 365 days. You can promote your products and services to the targeted audience, organize and conduct online events, and learn all industry trends.
During RosUpack days the video studio was organized in Pavilion 2 and more than 40 industry experts were interviewed to find out trends, difficulties and forecasts of the packaging and printing markets. More than 2,500 specialists are already in the community within last 2 months.
Awarding ceremony for the winners of PART Award was held June 8. PART Award is annual international Award in the field of packaging production and design. The expert jury conducted a comprehensive evaluation of innovative developments in the field of packaging and packaging materials. 60 companies participated in the competition with 129 samples in 14 nominations.
Next editions of RosUpack and Printech will be held June 18 through 21, 2024.
