Food product producers from 24 countries will gather together at WorldFood Moscow

WorldFood Moscow, the largest international autumn food exhibition in Russia, the major place for meetings and sharing best practices among Russian and foreign food market leaders, will be held September 20 through 23 at Crocus Expo.

WorldFood Moscow is a major exhibition serving the global food and drinks industry. Since its inception in 1991, it has grown to become the entry point for international manufacturers looking to enter the vibrant Russian market. Every year, the event connects thousands of businesses from around the world with Russia's key food and drink buyers, including retail representatives from Russia’s leading supermarket chains, wholesalers, HoReCa sector members, and food manufacturers. WorldFood Moscow is the best Food & Drink exhibition in Russia in the “International Recognition” nomination based on the results of the Russian National Exhibition Rating 2016–2017. This year, the focus of the exhibition will be shifted to Russian manufacturers and import substitution.

More than 700 companies will take part in the exhibition including more than 260 companies which will present their products at WorldFood Moscow for the first time

This year the trade show will attract producers from 24 countries and 54 Russian regions.

Foreign manufacturers will be represented by companies from Algeria, Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, Israel, India, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Korea, UAE, Pakistan, Poland, USA, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Czech Republic, Chile, Sri Lanka and Ecuador.

Such regions of the Russian Federation as the Arkhangelsk region, the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Tatarstan, Sevastopol will present their products at the exhibition for the first time.

Every year, the event connects thousands of businesses from around the world with Russia's key food and drink buyers, including retail representatives from Russia’s leading supermarket chains, wholesalers, HoReCa sector members, and food manufacturers. Exhibitors are grouped into 16 main sectors, letting visitors easily find their products of interest and their manufacturers. The event is the perfect platform to promote new food and drink products in Russia.

Exhibition area of WorldFood Moscow includes the following sectors:

  • Fish & Seafood: live, refrigerated, frozen, salted and smoked fish, caviar, canned and semi-finished food, seafood, raw and aquaculture products, equipment for fish and seafood production.

  • Cheese & Dairy products: milk and cream, canned dairy, curdled dairy products, butter, cheeses, and ice cream.

  • Meat, Paultry & Eggs: fresh poultry and game, meat by-products, prepackaged meat, sausages, smoked meats, deli meats, semi-finished products, eggs, and egg products.

  • Frozen, Convenience & Ready-to-eat Food: frozen meat and fish products, dough, frozen vegetables, fruits and berries, ready-to-eat food, sandwiches and salads.

The WorldFood Moscow exhibition features a rich and varied four-day business program, with forums, analytical and practical sessions, plenary discussions, and conferences. The program will feature 25 events.

Food Industry Leader’s Forum will be traditionally held within the frames of the business program.  The forum will be focused on the exchange of experience and solutions to urgent problems of retail, as well as presentations of up-to date statistics and market trends, with the participation of industry leaders.

As part of the Retail Academy program for commercial departments of retail chains, practical conferences will take place, focusing on the development of various categories; fresh food and vegetables; ready-to-eat meals and ultra-fresh; confectionary; dairy and cheese; organic food and more.

A pitch session for food-tech startups will be held within the calendar of events September 23. Based on the voting of the jury consisting of top fund investors, well-known entrepreneurs and representatives of large corporations, the award will be given to innovative and scalable projects that are attractive for investment.

In addition, WorldFood Moscow will host  September 23 two awards ceremonies: Product of the Year tasting competition and WorldFood Organic competition.
