The 32nd exhibition of vintage cars and antiques Oldtimer Gallery began its work

The 32nd Oldtimer Gallery, The largest in Russia к exhibition of vintage cars and antiques, has been opened today August 24 at Crocus Expo. Among the participants of the exhibition are eminent restoration workshops fr om Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan and many other cities and regions of Russia.

Oldtimer-Gallery is the sole in Russia largest exhibition of vintage cars and technical Antiques, held twice a year in one of the best exhibition centers in Moscow. In modern Russia, antique cars and everything related to them is powerful industry, a recognized center for the last decade and a half is the "Oldtimer-Gallery".

"Oldtimer-Gallery" is a unique show, wh ere you can see live all that is true and unique spirit of bygone times. Here are gathered hundreds of technical wonders, long forgotten curious inventions and exciting design solutions of the past - a truly "Golden Fund" of technical culture of XIX-XX centuries, a living history of the bygone epochs. One of the central themes of the main exhibition of retro cars of the country is the 115th anniversary of His Imperial Majesty's Own Garage. A separate exposition is dedicated to this event - "Tsar's Departure," the exhibits of which are included in various automobile and historical collections - both Russian and foreign.

His Imperial Majesty’s Own Garage existed for only 10 years, but during that time managed to collect an impressive collection of 56 automobiles which served the last Russian emperor Nicholas II, his family and retinue. None of the European monarchs could boast of such an impressive fleet of vehicles.

Unique motorcars from the reign of Nicholas II will be presented as part of an exposition which tells about the auto-craze that swept Russia in the early twentieth century, among the key events of which were races for the Imperial Prize, the first Russian automobile salons, Nicholas II’s trips by motorcar around the country, the work of the assembly shops of the Russian-Baltic Plant, front-line everyday life of an automobile company and many others.
