Pharmtech & Ingredients 2021 post show report
The 23rd International exhibition of equipment, raw materials and technologies for pharmaceutical production Pharmtech&Ingredients, the largest event of the profile in Russia and the CIS countries, was held November 23 through 26 at Crocus Expo.
More than 300 exhibitors from 25 countries will showcase equipment, raw materials, and technologies for the pharmaceutical industry at Pharmtech & Ingredients 2021. Among the exhibitors, there will be leading world and Russian companies: IMA (Italy), Merck (Germany), Marchesini Group (Italy), BASF (Germany), Antares Vision, Sartorius (Germany), ECI PACKAGING (USA), Sinopharmtech (China), Mikhail Kurako (Russia), Tofflon (China), Rolstec (Russia), OMAG (Italy), Pharma Union (Russia), Catrosa (Spain), IMCoPharma (Czech Republic), Active Component (Russia), PharmVILAR (Russia), Rettenmaier (Germany), Artlife-Techno (Russia), Gerresheimer (Germany), and others. 4 888 visitors attended the exhibition.
This year, the business program will be focused on the main tasks and prospects for the market development.
The business program started on November 23 with the plenary session Availability of medicines for the national health care system: balance of interests of the participants. During the discussion, representatives of government agencies, national medical research centers, leading industry associations and pharmaceutical companies told about one of the three main directions of the Pharma-2030 strategy and answered an important question — was it possible in the current economic environment to make decisions in the healthcare system that would satisfy the government, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and patients.
On the same day, a round table API: to be produced or imported took place. The COVID-19 pandemic led to necessity to create a full-fledged production of APIs in Russia, but this task cannot be accomplished without a full-scale government support.
At the round table Changing regulatory rules for pharmaceutical waste the speakers tried to track changes in regulation for such a wide range of areas as production waste, MSW, waste from manufactured and sold goods, medical and biological waste.
The round table Vaccine production in the context of the SARS-CoV-19 pandemic: challenges, scaling, new solutions was held to discuss the impact of the widespread use of bioengineered vaccines against new coronavirus infection on the biopharmaceutical market, as well as reorientation and scaling of production facilities to produce COVID-19 vaccine.
The 16th International Specialized Forum Pharmtechprom took place on November 24 and 25. This year, the event, a traditional platform for the presentation of the latest technologies in pharmaceutical production, included four sessions. Companies like Bioiberica, IMCD, Croda, Hosokawa, Asahi Kasei, DIOSNA, Gerresheimer, Bruker, GEA, Marchesini Group Rus presented their latest developments.
In 2022 Pharmtech & Ingredients will be held November 22 through 25.
