New technologies and effective solutions: WasteTech 2021 post show report

The 13th WasteTech 2021 exhibition of waste management, environmental technologies, ecology and renewable energy and the 15th International exhibition Water: Ecology and Technology EkwaTech 2021 took place at Crocus Expo September 7 through 9, 2021.

During 3 days, 8486 specialists visited both exhibitions and had the opportunity to gain knowledge, find business partners, meet personally with equipment and service providers, discuss new projects.

For those who could not attend the events of the business program during the exhibition days or would like to listen to interesting speeches again, there is an opportunity to purchase online access to recordings on the site.

This year, WasteTech and EcwaTech - the two main environmental exhibitions in Russia, were held together. 285 companies took part in the events, including 4 national pavilions - they presented technologies and solutions from 16 countries. More than 5600 visitors from 68 regions of Russia visited the unified exhibition site. The share of visitors making decisions was 67%.

More than 80 companies from 11 countries displayed equipment and technologies in the field of waste management, environmental technologies, ecology and renewable energy at the WasteTech 2021 exposition. More than 30 companies participated in the project for the first time.

Key industry players traditionally presented equipment and technologies for the municipal and environmental sectors of Russia. A full range of topics were covered at the projects: waste management, recycling, wastewater treatment, renewable energy, air quality, reclamation of contaminated sites, industrial cleaning, improvement of territories, labor safety.

WasteTech 2021 business program included 11 events which attracted professionals from different segments of the industry. More than 60 world experts and representatives of the leading companies in the industry told about current trends and shared professional experience.

The Awarding Ceremony for the winners of the School of Recycling: Electronics eco program was held within the frames of WasteTech. Representatives of the Moscow Department of Nature Management and Environmental Protection, the Moscow Department of Health and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia took part in the ceremony. Organizer - Environmental Management Fund.

The School of Recycling: Electronics is the only program in Russia for the free disposal of electronic waste for the population, authorities and budgetary institutions. The program is implemented in 11 regions: Moscow, Moscow Region, St. Petersburg, Leningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Tambov, Tula, Ivanovo, Ryazan and Volgograd Regions, the Republic of Mordovia, the Republic of Mari El. Its goal is to reduce environmental damage from dumping electronic garbage, to develop skills for separate collection of hazardous waste.

In 2022 WasteTech will be held September 13 through 15.
