Product of the Year tasting contest within WorldFood Moscow
Product of the Year professional tasting contest is held annually within the frames of the WorldFood Moscow exhibition. The organizer of the contest is Hyve company with the support of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance.
Product of the Year 2016 is a traditional tasting contest held during the exhibition. The goal of the contest is to identify and promote high-quality products in the Russian market.
Voting is undertaken by the contest jury composed of industry experts, including food & drink manufacturers, industry institutions and unions, and government representatives. The Chairman of the contest jury is Konstantin Savenkov, deputy head of Rosselkhoznadzor.
An organoleptic evaluation of product quality in each contest group is undertaken in accordance with the requirements of regulatory documents, assess the appearance, packaging. Based on these results, each jury member completes an evaluation sheet. The evaluation sheets, protocols are formed, which are sent to the competition commission.
The best products are defined in 16 nominations:
- Wine
- Dietary products and baby food
- Confectionary
- Alcoholic beverages
- Oils and fats
- Mineral waters, soft and low-alcohol drinks
- Dairy products (+canned dairy food and ice cream)
- Meat products, including canned food
- Food concentrates, seasonings, ingredients and yeasts
- Fruits & vegetables
- Processed fruits and vegetables and honey-based produces
- Soy products
- Poultry products, eggs and egg products
- Fish & seafood
- Bakery, pasta, cereals and flours
- Tea, coffee and spices
A company can apply to participate & pay the entry fee within the period from May 11 to September 15, 2021. Samples and supporting documents are accepted September 21 from 11:00 to 17:00. The Awarding Ceremony will take place September 23, 2021.
