AquaPro Expo post show report

The International exhibition of equipment for fishing, breeding and processing of aquatic biological resources products AquaPro Expo was held for the second time April 12 through 14, 2021 at Crocus Expo.

AquaPro Expo is a platform for direct dialogue between manufacturers and suppliers of equipment for catching, breeding and processing of aquatic bioresources with fishing, processing companies, aquaculture enterprises and other participants of fisheries industry in Russia and foreign countries.

62 companies took part in the exhibition, which demonstrated equipment for equipping fish farms and fish processing, feed, biological products, water control and purification systems, as well as equipment and equipment for catching fish and seafood. 7 fishing enterprises from Crimea presented at the exhibition fish products, which are produced in Sevastopol.

AquaPro Expo exhibition was visited by 2162 specialists from 112 Russian cities, as well as from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Ukraine and Finland.

Many participants noted the high-quality composition of the exhibition visitors, the high degree of concentration of the target audience and the great interest in the products presented. Their number also increased: compared to 2020, by 71%. The number of regions from which visitors came has also almost doubled.

The three-day educational business program is a traditional accompaniment to the AquaPro Expo exposition.

The two-day conference Aquaculture as a Successful Business: Applied Issues and Development Prospects was devoted to the discussion of the prospects for the development of aquaculture, one of the most dynamically growing branches of the agro-industrial complex, and the solution of practical issues of fish farms . The conference was opened by a plenary session organized with the support of the Eurasian Aquaculture Alliance. Foreign and Russian experts presented reports on key trends in the development of world aquaculture. Oleg Yulievich Kobyakov, Director of the FAO Office for Liaison with the Russian Federation, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of aquaculture for ensuring food security and the importance of developing common approaches to the development of the industry.

As well as last year, on the third day, the Center for Training and Advanced Studies worked for technologists, the partner of which was the Dmitrov Fisheries Technological Institute. Specialists of fish processing enterprises were able to attend master classes on topical issues of organizing production and ensuring the quality of fish products and receive certificates based on the results of the intensive course.

The business program of the exhibition was also useful for the technologists of fish processing enterprises. During all three days, there were original seminars by Marel specialists. The experts spoke about robotic technologies in the segment of cod fish processing, highly profitable processing of salmon fish species and software that allows continuous modern production control.

AquaPro Expo 2022 will be held April 12 through 14, 2022 at Crocus Expo.
