26TH MOSCOW INTERNATIONAL OPTICAL FAIR (MIOF)

The 26th Moscow International Optical Fair (MIOF), the leading branch event which twice a year incorporates on the same platform more than 3 000 specialists from the sphere of medical optics and ophthalmology, will be held in Crocus Expo February 11 through 13, 2020. The organizer of the project is Crocus Expo, the expo venue which ranks at the top among exhibition centers of Russia and Eastern Europe.

Today MIOF is a serious business and educational platform, the meeting place for distributors of global brands with representatives of wholesale and retail trade. Due to a large number of professionals among visitors the participation in the trade fair opens direct access to new clients: specialists exchange experience and strengthen business contacts, foreign companies find reliable partners for their work in Russia on a long term basis.

The exposition covers all segments of the optical industry: eyeglasses fashion (frames and sun glasses), eyeglass and contact lenses, care means for medical optics, diagnostic equipment, software for salons of optics, various accessories, trade equipment for opticians, specialized optical editions and many other things.

EXHIBITORS

The largest companies of the Russian optical market including Avvita, Inveco Holding, Marcolin Rus, Megalopolis, New Optics, Optic Dias and others will display their products and services at the trade fair. DANZ, Stern, Wenzhou wedo Optical, BioEcoTime, Bitwin, Bryanskfarmatsiya, Yugoptika are among debutants of the 2020 edition. There are expected exhibitors and specialists from Armenia, Belarus, Great Britain, Germany, Canada, China, Italy, Turkey and Switzerland.

MIOF exhibition management and the Hong Kong Optical Manufacturers Association (HKOMA) in cooperation with the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) will also organize for the first time the pavilion of the Hong Kong Eyewear Good Design project which will unite more than 30 exhibitors on one platform.

Besides SILMO Paris will for the first time join partners and participants of the Moscow trade fair. The project is one of the largest in the field of medical optics. Annually the exhibition brings together more than 1 000 participating companies from different countries of the world and more than 45 000 specialists in the sphere of sight. The representatives of the project will tell about SILMO Paris which will be held in Paris Nord Villepinte expo venue October 2 through 5, 2020.

The special value of the MIOF is in a possibility of conclusion of direct and favorable contracts between wholesale and retail trade representatives, producers and suppliers of well-known global and exclusive optical brands right on site.

BUSINESS PROGRAM

The calendar of events of the 26th Moscow International Optical Fair (MIOF) will form again an integral part of its exposition. The program features various formats: seminars, training courses, presentations and etc. Effective practices of increase in sales, optimization of work and increase in profitability of optician’ salons, methods of identification of customer needs in new eyewear products and the latest methods of patient examination will be presented to the audience.

For example, Galina Mischenko, Director General BMG Company, will speak on the topic Check in the sphere of circulation of medical products. A risk-based approach February 11.

Besides representatives of the HKOMA will make presentation of their expo venues and will tell about cooperation opportunities offered by the Association.

Master class from Natalia Rinskaya on prism correction will be held February 12, 2020. Eye care professionals use prism correction as a component of some eyeglass prescriptions. A lens which includes some amount of prism correction will displace the viewed image horizontally, vertically, or a combination of both directions.

The VI Awarding Ceremony for the winners of the Russian National Award in the optical industry Golden Lorgnette – for achievements in the field of new technologies promotion, sight protection and professional service of the population – will traditionally take place within the frames of the spring edition of MIOF as well.

Participation in the trade fair provides a unique opportunity to present a company and products to a distinctly selected targeted audience of industry specialists. Moscow International Optical Fair is an event for professionals, experts and producers, one of the most important platforms of our country for demonstration of the latest achievements.
