23rd MOSCOW INTERNATIONAL OPTICAL FAIR (MIOF)

The 23rd Moscow International Optical Fair (MIOF), a key business expo event for all specialists in the field of optometry, medical production and also fashionable collections of eye glasses and frames, will run September 11 through 13 in Crocus Expo.

The MIOF platform project traditionally unites the leading distributors of world brands of medical optics, representatives of chain stores distributing optical products (wholesale and retail), experts in the field of optometry, ophthalmologists, experts in the field of protection of sight and representatives of specialized mass media.

110 companies from 7 countries of the world (Belarus, Italy, China, Great Britain, Greece, the Netherlands and Canada) and 16 regions of Russia (Moscow and the Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Sevastopol, the Vladimir, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov, Samara, Sverdlovsk, Tomsk, Volgograd, Novosibirsk, Rostov, Tambov, Yaroslavl regions, Primorsky Krai and the Republic of Crimea) will display their collections at the September edition of the trade fair. The participants will demonstrate not only the latest developments in the numerous segments of the optical industry but also fresh design solutions, in particular, new collections of sunglasses from the leading European and Asian producers by the forthcoming season.

The special value of the fair is in a possibility of conclusion of direct and favorable contracts between representatives of wholesale and retail trade, producers and suppliers of well-known global and exclusive optical brands right on site.

Official opening ceremony of the 23rd Moscow International Optical Fair (MIOF) will take place September 11 at 12:00 p.m.

MIOF organizers traditionally prepare a highly topical business and educational program during which experts will have an opportunity to discover sale increase technologies, explore the latest innovations in production of eyeglass and contact lenses, to gain new knowledge of sight correction. MIOF 2018. Autumn’s program features more than 40 events of various formats: lectures, seminars, presentations and many other things.

The 2nd scientific and practical conference on children's ophthalmology and optometry Kids Vision will become the highlight of the MIOF business program. The conference is intended on the implementation of the following tasks: distribution of information on protection of children's vision, preventive measures and treatment of ophthalmologic diseases; rendering of charitable help to children from underprovided families which need a complicated eye treatment.

Speakers will present to attention of the audience the latest practices in the sphere of sales and management of optical business at the business and educational forum. Besides September 11 the lecturer from Italy Alessandra Salimbene, Charismatica Ltd. Director, Expophoto Cultural Association President, will give two lectures on digital marketing in optics (Digital charisma: effective communications online and off-line in today's optical center and Digital marketing in optics. The new consumer: how to sell in the era of digital). The lectures are intended for those who are involved into activity in the internet space or consider the possibility of digitalization of their business.

Press conference on fashionable tendencies in design of frames and sunglasses will be held September 12. Olga Mosheeva, Director Optical MAGAZINE PH, will make the opening speech at the event will take place. Bruno Palmegiani, designer and art director of Avanglion and Sover (Einar Group Ltd., Hungary), and Franco Antonov, CEO of Luxary Trends, will make presentations of collections at the press conference. Franco Antonov will also present Catherine De Medici, Pugnale, Philipp Plein, LaMarca and Amen brands from the company’s portfolio.

Professionals of the optical industry – producers, suppliers, representatives of trading companies and science, employees of the medical branch – highly appreciate conditions for effective work created by organizers of MIOF, noting that the exhibition is a really significant event for the branch.
