International exhibition of crossovers, off-road and all-terrain vehicles
MOSCOW OFF-ROAD SHOW

The International exhibition of crossovers, off-road and all-terrain vehicles Moscow Off-road Show, a new restyled version of well known Cross-country Vehicle exhibition, was successfully held August 26 through 30, 2015! Moscow Off-road Show demonstrated a wide range of vehicles intended for the exploration of Russian off-road conditions. The show incorporated car makers, branch experts and fans of powerful, dynamic vehicles from around the world. Professionals, enthusiasts and all friends of four wheeling visited the fairgrounds. SUVs, crossovers, all-terrain vehicles, automobile tuning, spare parts and accessories for cars of advanced cross country ability were displayed within the frames of the show. The overall exhibit space comprised more than 8 500 sq m.

LADA Vesta Cross Concept world premiere took place within the frames of the show. Bo Inge Andersson, President and CEO of AvtoVAZ, presented the vehicle. The new LADA was supplemented with two concepts – LADA Vesta and LADA XRAY, carriers of a new brand DNA, and also a LADA Cross and LADA 4x4 families: LADA Largus Cross, LADA Kalina Cross, LADA of 4x4 Urban and LADA 4x4 Elbrus Edition. These stock cars could also be tested on the test drive track with artificial obstacles.

Russian premieres from global car makers also took place within the frames of Moscow Off-road Show. Mitsubishi unveiled the fifth generation of L200 pickup. Moreover the exhibitor presented the full range of brand’s off-road vehicles – starting from a new Outlander made in Dynamic Shield design and up to Pajero, 12 times winner of Dakar. Original accessories and additional equipment were also displayed at the stand.

One more Russian premiere was presented by Land Rover. It unveiled their novelty – a limited edition of Land Rover Defender Heritage. There was also displayed Discovery from Land Rover project Discover Russia, an absolutely new Discovery Sport and Range Rover family special models including Range Rover Sport SVR featuring 550-hp supercharged eight-speed automatic, and adjustable four-wheel drive system which helps it easily hustle down any road or trail. Five vehicles were provided for test drives.

Geely brand demonstrated crossover Emgrand X7 in two versions.

Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Wrangler Unlimited available for the Russian market were presented at JEEP stand. And Jeep Renegade became the highlight of their stand. The all-new Jeep Renegade is a compact SUV with great potential. Renegade had been successfully tested in the sands of Moab, one of the most famous off-road regions of North America. Bold and swift, the new model had proved that there is nothing impossible.
Renegade is not afraid of sand and snow or impassable mud – this model is equipped with the original Jeep® Selec-Terrain system which allows to overcome any road and weather conditions. Full range of Jeep Renegade models was presented at the show: Sport, Longitude, Limited and Trailhawk. Chrysler Rus provided the perfect opportunity to test Jeep Renegade at JEEP TERRITORY located not far from the exhibition pavilions (there was a shuttle bus available for all willing).

Nissan presented 5 SUVs: Patrol, Pathfinder, X-Trail off-roads and Juke, Qashqai crossovers. The stand was made in the form of a football field, clearly demonstrating the association of Nissan and UEFA Champions League, and also partnership of the brand with Russian football clubs.

А1 Alarm Service Rublevka, official representative of BRABUS, premium segment cars, in Russia, displayed BRABUS G-Class 6x6 tuning version.

UAZ displayed a new UAZ PATRIOT (UAZ-3163). The car maker from Ulyanovsk displayed the vehicle – participant of Paris-Dakar of this year. The second car at the stand was UAZ HUNTER. Unfortunately the vehicle wasn’t available for test drives.

OBUHOV, official Volvo dealer, presented a new crossover XC 90. Volvo had released extensive details about the numerous safety features incorporated in all-new XC90. Promising to be “one of the safest cars in the world”, the 2015 XC90 will be the first vehicle in the world to offer run-off road protection.

Foton, the largest automobile brand of China widely known for their trucks, presented Sauvana crossover and Tunland multi-purpose pickup of new generation. The company has big plans for the Russian market of SUVs and therefore consultants answered journalists, experts and visitors’ questions with readiness.

Velomotors presented popular ATV STELS 600 LEOPARD and 800 GUEPARD, quadrocycle for children 100RS and a novelty of the season – STELS 600 VIKING snowmobile.

ATV SHERP, made in Russia, was presented at Moscow Off-road Show. This cross-country vehicle is an irreplaceable and reliable helper, friend, rescuer in various parts of wild life. Twenty years of cross-country vehicle building experience and introduction of the best world technologies, features improved after each test expedition, gave a right to present SHERP as a faithful and reliable, simple and strong all-terrain vehicle.

Undoubtedly test drives arranged at outdoor tracks of the fairgrounds were the highlight of the event for the guests of Crocus Expo IEC. Every driving license holder had an opportunity to have a one-of-a-kind off road experience riding an outstanding obstacle course. One had the unique opportunity to meet and talk with the most knowledgeable people in the off-road industry.

According to European practice Moscow Off-road Show will be held every other year at odd years in between the leading automotive event in Russia – Moscow International Automobile Salon (MIAS).
