Moscow Boat Show, the largest Russian exhibition of the yachting branch, for the eighth time already incorporated the most impressive representatives of the yachting world, branch specialists, professional sportsmen and fans of this spectacular sport! The show housed the best in marine accessories. Electronic manufacturers, outboard and inboard engine manufacturers, as well as boat yards, marinas, yacht services, and yacht accessories made that one of the hottest areas of the show.

One had an opportunity to enjoy boats and yachts displayed by Prestige Yachts, Marine Trade, Velvette Marine, Lodka Haus, Moreman, Webasto, Bavaria Yachts, Volvo East, Gibbs Sports Amphibians, Enigma, Trident, Popilov Yachts and others including “newcomers”: New Star Marine, Super Marine, Rosomakha, Lodka 44, Motoland, O Yachts, West Istanbul Marina, Palmarina Bodrum, Marti Marina  Waterport, Mantamae Charter Boat, Advance Star, Poralu Marine, Paritet, Evolution Motors, Х-Yachts, Veter, Quintrex rus, etc.

National producers stood out against world famous shipyards at the edition of 2015. They took pride in displaying their novelties at the international show. Unique exhibits were for the first time displayed at the show in 2015: LOOKER 440S, a hydrofoil yacht with unique lines, sitting somewhere between rocket ship and underwater marine vessel, designed by Paritet company; portable (unsinkable) VHF NavCom SRS-303 radio station from NavMarine company; a new polyethylene pontoon from Waterport which is equally well suitable both for time-proved and the most modern models of hydrocycles. Evolution Motors presented its Russian made innovative high-speed boat Sirius 25 made of composite materials with a cross step for operation in extreme conditions; Super Marine – the fishing boat TRACKER Pro Guide V-16 WT which, according to fishermen, is designed for big water, and Rumaran.ru – trailer sail trimaran (triple-hulled vessel) Scarab 22 created by Russian specialists according to outstanding Australian design project.

The event provides an exclusive opportunity to showgoers to preview the finest jewels of the sea. Patronised by all the major boat yards, manufacturers and brand names from the nautical world, this is a fantastic event for interested buyers and boating enthusiasts. There is a whole range of boats on display ranging from smaller boats for the leisure market to glittering luxury cruisers coming complete with the latest gadgets, gizmos and fineries.

The visitors of Moscow Boat Show had also an opportunity to see the premiere of 2016: Smart Yachts, Galeon shipyard exclusive distributor, presented Galeon 84 yacht, designed by one of the most famous Italian designers Enrico Gobbi. Prestige Yachts presented exclusive models of catamarans made at Engure (Latvia) shipyard and an absolutely new version of legendary Merry Fisher boats from Jeanneau, Merry Fisher 695.

Producers and suppliers of equipment and accessories, berthing facilities, navigation devices, engines, hydrocycles, yacht clothing, companies rendering services related to construction and repair of small vessels, real estate agencies, insurance companies were presented in other sections of the exhibition. Stands of tour operators presenting new itineraries in Russia, Spain, Turkey, Croatia, Italy, Montenegro and other countries – popular and exotic – were of special interest at visitors.

As its popularity and success rate had grown over the last years the project developed to incorporate more than just an exhibition. Those special events served to attract leading exhibitors and visitors and allowed all participants the chance to broaden their knowledge and of course their sales potential.

Plenary session Yachting Market 2015: Problems, Forecast, Solutions became one of the most significant event of the calendar of events held within the frames of the show.

There were also round table talks and seminars within the calendar of events: Opportunities for Going in for Sailing Sport, Sailing Schools, Participation in Regattas, Yachts Charter, Review of Builders, Shipyards, Producers, Current World Trends of Cruisers Yachts, Training Programs and Modern Methodology in Sailing Sport and other events.

A number of interesting projects presentations were held at the show: Amateur Yachting Centre, Yachting for All Ages, Kite Festival in the Moscow area, Review of the Best Charter Regions: the Caribbean, the Mediterranean and Southeast Asia and The Largest Yachting Marinas of the World.

Moscow Dive Expo project became the highlight of the calendar of events. The project allowed discovering everything related to diving offering various presentations, lectures and round tables devoted to diving, fishing, underwater sports and snorkeling.

The Committee for Mass Amateur and Student sports, the Russian-Spanish yacht club and Navigator yacht-club prepared a genuine whirl of entertaining events: presentation of the XXII sailing regatta Tramontana and practical courses in Spain, performances of known musicians, children sailing games, show races, even interview with a robot Alantim who fell in love with romanticism of salty splashes and fresh wind.

Professionals from FlyBoard Russia for the first time ever demonstrated flyboard flights in a small pool right on show site.

Representatives of participating companies noted that the number of visitors increased in 2015. So, despite everything, the yacht branch in Russia continues to develop! The exhibition in no small measure promoted commercial success of exhibitors who emphasized that the current economic situation hasn’t produces a negative effect in the industry yet. Many also expressed confidence that they would have acceptable revenue during the season.
