For the thirteenth time already Crocus Expo IEC presented its own project – the International specialized exhibition Ophthalmologic Optics December 10 through 13, 2013.

This time more than 90 companies from 11 regions of Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Belgorod, Vladimir, Volgograd, Kaluga, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Rostov and Yaroslavl regions and Khabarovsk krai) participated in the exhibition. The participants presented the best foreign and Russian optical production: along with collections of medical frames, contact lenses and lenses care means from popular trademarks, novelties of ophthalmologic equipment and devices were displayed within the frames of exposition.

Companies and organizers of the event welcomed guests of the fairgrounds at the Official Opening Ceremony of the trade fair: Son Jin-young (Director General of Korea Optical Industry Support Center (KOISC) and Daegu International Optical Show (Daegu, South Korea), Evgeny Grevtsov (New Optics), Dmitry Mityukov (Abium), Elena Yakutina (Market Assistant Group) and Valery Artamonov (Crocus Expo IEC).

After parting words and congratulations on coming holidays Sergey Egorychev, the moderator of the event, Director of the department of special exhibition projects, invited speakers to cut the red ribbon, a symbol of opening of the last exposition of Crocus owned exhibition events in 2013.

It should be noted that the visit of mister Son organized by Market Assistant Group agency and editorial office of the Optical MAGAZINE became one of the most important episodes of the New Year's Eve meeting.  Negotiations of the guest of honor with the management of the Moscow International Optical Fair (the name under which Ophthalmologic Optics starts in 2014), with representatives of wholesale optical companies and the largest chains of optical salons on the issue related to attraction of Korean companies to participation in the exhibition and further expansion of cooperation of producers of Korea and Russia took place within the frames of the project. As a result a return visit of a group of Russian specialists to DIOPS exhibition was planned for April 2014.

The December edition of Ophthalmologic Optics exhibition traditionally presented full range of various technological processes and branch production: corrective, sun and sports glasses, frames, eyeglass and contact lenses, glasses care means and other goods.

The New Year's Eve exhibition became long ago a peculiar reference point for the optical industry in Russia – guests and participants of the project sum up the going year’s results, discuss plans for the future and, of course, congratulate business partners on coming New Year which promises to be successful for the dynamically developing branch.
