VI International exhibition of boats and yachts MOSCOW BOAT SHOW

The third pavilion of Crocus Expo IEC hosted a magnificent exposition of the 6th International exhibition of yachts and boats Moscow Boat Show March 12 through 17, 2013.

The largest in Russia Crocus owned event for the sixth time already incorporated the most impressive representatives of the yachting world and fans of this spectacular sport!

Moscow Boat Show is rightfully called the main event in the Russian world of boats and yachts. Last year the exhibition was granted the status of “UFI Approved Event” and it was listed in the calendar of International Boat Industry (IBI), which includes all exhibition events of international level in the yachting industry.

Moscow Boat Show provided the perfect platform from which to preview new products, evaluate market trends, and establish long-lasting and commercially profitable partnerships. Despite the dynamic changes taking place in Russia and the rapid growth of the yachting sector, the show continued to complement and reflect the industry’s demand and is a promotional opportunity not to be missed! 

The exposition space increased up to 45 000 sq m in 2013. More than 350 companies from Great Britain, Germany, Holland, Greece, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, China, Latvia, New Zealand, United Arab Emirates, Poland, Slovenia, USA, Sierra Leone, Turkey, Ukraine, Finland, France, Croatia, Montenegro and, of course, Russia (17 regions) participated in the show. The scale of the project confirmed confident positions of its positive development.

Moscow Boat Show is the largest project in Russia presenting all the best in the world of yachting. The exhibition annually shows high level of attendance and has already proved as significant and noteworthy event in the world of yachts and boats.

More than 500 yachts were presented within the frames of the exposition including the most impressive boats from the British shipyards of Sunseeker, Fairline and Princess Yachts International plc, the American companies Chris-Craft, Sea Ray, MasterCraft and Four Winns, the Italian producer Sanlorenzo, the French shipbuilders of Prestige and Jeanneau. All key participants of the exhibition –Azimut Yakhts Russii, Burevestnik, Nordamarin, Premium Yakhts, Prestige Yakhts (Panavto group of companies) considerably increased their stands.

The visitors of the show had an opportunity to see favourite boats featured in several James Bond films – legendary motor boats from Glastron American shipyard!

The well known motor yacht Prestige 500 became the highlight of the trade fair. Prestige 500 yacht considered to be one of the most titled vessels: The Best Interior Design of the World Yachts Trophies award, The Best Motor Boat at Nautical Design Award, The Motor Yacht of The Year, Best of the Best according to Robb Report magazine.

OOO Honda Motor RUS for the first time participated in the show. The company displayed full range of its products starting from engines and up to boats and of course cars.

One more premier were houseboats from Lodka Haus company. These comfortable watercrafts for travel and rest include all engineering systems, household appliances and full furnishing of the salon and cabins.

The visitors were greatly impressed by the Sealegs boat. Sealegs amphibious boats can be driven in and out of the water on their own retractable, motorized chassis.

A big section of the exposition was devoted to accessories and equipment for diving sport, diving equipment, outfit and gear which were presented by Dayvindustry, Moreman and other companies.

Winnebago, a leading United States manufacturer of recreation vehicles (RVs), presented their products which are used primarily in leisure travel and outdoor recreation activities. Exotic Auto displayed at the Moscow Boat Show 2013 exhibition a genuine “land yacht” – a new Chevrolet Express passenger extended wheelbase van.

Exclusive manually assembled vessel models which have no analogs in the world and the best sailing schools presented by the Russian Yachting Federation (VFPS) became additional “points of attraction” at the trade show. There were many events held at VFPS stand: round table of Yacht Russia magazine Development of sailing sport in Russia: children, national, Olympic and international yacht classes, Olympic lesson, presented by V.Ya. Potapov, honoured master of sport of the USSR, bronze winner of Olympic Games 1972, 16xUSSR champion, World Winner 1978 and 1980, European Champion 1981 Tornado class; Interactive sessions: Yachting English from Sergey Volchkov, World champion, Nautical knots, bends and hitches and Sailing quiz from Andrey Maslov. Everybody had an opportunity to come to know daily about RUSSIAN YACHTING FEDERATION projects for 2013, consult a specialist, receive competitions calendar for 2013, purchase special literature at the RUSSIAN YACHTING FEDERATION stand.

Moreover Dr. Roberto Perocchio, President of Assomarinas of Italy, spoke within the frames of Moscow Boat Show 2013 about new investment policy.

Official Opening Ceremony of the largest exhibition of boats and yachts Moscow Boat Show took place March 12 at 01:00 p.m. in the lobby of the third pavilion Crocus Expo IEC. Arcady Zlotnikov, Deputy Director General ZAO CROCUS INTERNATIONAL, was traditionally the first to take the floor at the official opening ceremony. He greeted warmly exhibitors, guests and visitors of Moscow Boat Show and presented high ranking guests of the ceremony. Nikolay Krjuchek, Deputy Chief of the State Inspectorate for Small Vessels (SISV)of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of Russia, congratulated everybody with the opening of the show, noted it high status, significance and perfect prospects of development. Vladimir Silkin, President of the Russian Yachting Federation (VFPS), joined the previous speaker and added that the show had become the major event in the Russian world of boats and yachts. Ekaterina Grishechkina, Director of exhibition Moscow Boat Show, told about organizer’s work and expressed her gratitude to all participants of the show.
