The must-attend building and interiors exhibition MosBuild 2019 in Russia.
In 2019 when MosBuild celebrates its 25th anniversary it has moved to a brand new venue - Crocus Expo in Moscow, which is the largest, most modern trade fair venue in Russia and Eastern Europe. And for the first time the exhibition will be hosted in all three pavilions of Crocus Expo.
MosBuild is showcasing around 1,200 Russian and international exhibitors from across the building and interiors industry. The show is set to attract around 65,000 visitors looking to source new products and do business with manufacturers and suppliers. More than 1,200 Russian and international companies will present a wide range of building and finishing materials at MosBuild 2019. As the largest building and interiors trade show in Russia, it's the best place to source building and finishing materials and the latest products and innovations in line with your business and customer requirements.
This year’s MosBuild will once again be packed with unmissable events full of inspiration and key market insights. This year’s program will offer 30 events featuring over 200 high-profile speakers. Key events that proved their popularity last year will return including the DIY Forum, design battles, the Know How Café, discussions, workshops, competitions for young architects and designers, and much more, as well as brand new events for this year.
One event being held for the first time this year is the Architectural Forum where authoritative bodies, developers and architects will discuss architectural trends and what formats of modern housing will be in demand over the next few years. The forum will end with case studies as part of a joint project with arch: speech.
A key feature of the Trend Show, the brand new Perfect Home project will bring a fully-built 400 sqm house onsite at MosBuild curated by Alexey Dorozhkin, Editor-in-Chief of ELLE Decoration magazine. The house will be designed by architect Boris Uborevich-Borovsky, while the interior will be the work of 10 leading Russian designers using materials and products from exhibiting companies.
Virtual Reality Space by Diana Balashova
Also part of the Trend Show, interior designer and MosBuild ambassador Diana Balashova will be curating the Virtual Reality Space using materials on from exhibitors. She says of the project: “It’ll offer a futuristic virtual 3D interior model where visitors can put on a VR-helmet to find themselves inside a virtual reality space and can walk through the rooms and explore the details. The visitors can become my co-designers: the technology allows them to change the materials themselves from a wide choice of materials presented at the exhibition.”
One major part of the Innovation in Construction Area will be the presentation of the first stage of SPACE 2.0, a large-scale project by industrial designer Vladimir Pirozhkov. On 3 April, Mr Pirozhkov will talk about future space: what innovative materials and technologies will be on trend in the near future and the major SPACE 2.0 project which will be unveiled at MosBuild in 2020.
As a key event for the building and interiors industry, MosBuild is well placed to host prestigious industry awards and professional competitions. Among those at this year’s event will be the ArchiDigitalArts digital architectural graphics competition, the Kitchen Biennale, SMART: Modern Materials, Architecture & Technology, the 200 Best in Russia interior design competition, the WorldBuild Awards for innovative product design, and the WinAwards for window innovation.
MosBuild’s business programme would not be what it is without its line-up of exciting guests and speakers. The show attracts well-known architects, designers, representatives of various building and interiors sectors, and other notable industry figures. This year, visitors to the show will be able to hear from Dutch architect Marcel Wanders, Leroy Merlin’s marketing director Philippe Mougeot, OBI CEO Sergio Giroldi, as well as a whole host of other prominent individuals.
A 2-day business forum for DIY chains, suppliers and manufacturers of building and finishing materials will be held within the frames of the show. The forum will cover the following topics: up-to-date analytics from INFOLine on the current state and prospects of the Russian DIY market; effective marketing and sales tools for the DIY market; technical business solutions from the Skolkovo Foundation Center of Technology for Retail and an effective business game for DIY chains and suppliers.
The Innovation in Construction Area, a content platform which will introduce the visitors to the very latest developments and innovations for the construction industry, will be operating throughout the exhibition offering workshops from the biggest manufacturers of building and finishing materials, presentations of new technological solutions from the Skolkovo Foundation’s resident start-ups and the Passive House Institute. Well-known industrial designer Vladimir Pirozhkov, curator of the Space 2.0 project will give a talk for students of architecture and design within the first phase of the project introduced at MosBuild 2020.
