Ingredients Russia-2018 will be devoted to healthy ways of life
Ingredients Russia will make a special focus on ingredients for healthy food, functional food and sports nutrition in 2018.
Functional foods are products or ingredients that have a positive impact on human health in addition to its’ nutritional value. Functional food products are no medicine and cannot heal but they help to prevent diseases and aging. Functional nutrition implies consuming products that increase human’s organism resistance to diseases and improves physiological processes which help to maintain an active lifestyle for long.
Functional food products include products with predetermined qualities depending on the goals of its’ use. Considering the technological particularity of functional food products qualities, three main categories of functional food products may be highlighted:
— traditional products originally containing a big number of physiologically functional ingredients or groups of ingredients
— products in which content of health harmful components that hinder the development of biological and physiological activity or bioavailability of functional ingredients contained in the product has been technologically lowered
— traditional products additionally enriched with functional ingredients using technological methods.
Safety and standards compliance are the characteristics required for modern food. Use of qualitative ingredients is one of the main factors that help to keep up with these requirements. Especially when functional and health foods are concerned.
At Ingredients Russia 2018 producers and suppliers of ingredients will have an opportunity to present ingredients for healthy food, functional food, sports nutrition and biologically active food supplements.
The 21st International Exhibition of Food Ingredients will be held 27 February to 2 March 2018 in Crocus Expo IEC.
