“Crocus International” company has been working in the sphere of exhibition industry since 1990.
The company held its first exhibition in 1990. There were twelve exhibitions in “Crocus” exhibition schedule in 1996 and fifteen expositions in different sectors of economy in 1999. During the period from 1990 to 2001 there were totally held more than one hundred international specialized trade exhibitions in such fields as computer engineering, information processing technologies, telecommunications, means of communication, electronic and household appliances, telecasting and radio broadcasting equipment, photographic equipment, food industry and foodstuff, textile manufacture and fashionable clothes, perfumery and cosmetics, equipment and clothes for sports and children’s goods.
“Crocus International” company has become the first organizer of specialized trade exhibitions oriented to the market-based economy. Through “Crocus Expo” exhibitions Russian market was refilled with dozens of well-known western companies which became major investors to the economy of the country. Among these companies are “Kompak” a manufacture of computer equipment, “Danon”, “Nestle” and “Cadberry” food producers, “Thomson” and “DeLonghi” manufactures and suppliers of electronic and household appliances and many others, as well as many suppliers of fashionable clothes from Italy, France and Germany.
“Crocus International” conjointly with “Comtec International” American company are the organizers of such world famous Russian expositions as “Comtec” and “Netcom” shows of information processing technologies, “World Food” show of edible products, “Fashion” show of fashionable clothes in “pret-a-porte” style, and “TeleRadioBroadCastExpo” show of telecasting and broadcasting equipment.
“Crocus” has an experience of holding exhibitions at all large Moscow exhibition grounds. “Comtec”, “Consumer Electronics”, “Fashion”, “Netcom” and “World Food” exhibitions were held at Krasnaya Presnya exhibition center. At different times, “TeleRadioBroadCastExpo”, “Texstissima”, “Health and Beauty” and “Your House” exhibitions were organized at All-Russian Exhibition Center, “Sokolniki” Culture and Exhibition Center and “Olympisky” sport complex.
“Crocus” as well held its exhibitions in other Russian towns. In particular, “World Food” and “Comtec” exhibitions were held in St.-Petersburg and Kiev (1997-1998) and “World Food’ exhibition in Alma-Ata (1997-1998).
